My wife took a watch to have the battery replaced. What should have cost $5 to $8.00 we were charges $24.00. My wife paid and I went back to complain. The owner is rude and refused to refund $16.00. Filed a BBB complaint. Do not use this business.... BAD BAD BAD more

Horrible! Horrible!! BEWARE!!! I took two watches in to get batteries replaced. When I asked for the price of changing batteries for both watches, the owner (David Jackson) took my watches to the back where I could not see him. He came back moments later and had already replaced the batteries without my permission. He then gave me an outrageous price and I let him know that I thought the price was high. He told me I had to pay. At first, I have to admit that I was ready to leave without paying given the outrageous price, but I wanted my watches, so I paid and left. After a few minutes, one of the watches stopped. I immediately took it back to the shop and was told that I should probably just get another watch because it was so cheap. He said that if I walked out with it working, there was nothing else he could do (meaning that he doesn’t guarantee anything that he does). He was rude, impatient and said several unkind things under his breath. I will NEVER go into his location again and would advise anyone reading this to steer clear. more

Eyeglass Frame Repair Jedi!!!! My pair broke today while cleaning them, dropped them off at 3:45 PM expecting a call maybe Saturday afternoon, well, well, Mr. Jackson called me at 7:10 PM to inform me that they were fixed and that he would wait for me to be able to get them. Reasonably priced repair. Thank You!!! more

I had Titanium glasses frames with a screw sheered off with threads embedded in one tiny piece. No one could fix this. Jackson Repair managed to perform the extraction of the thread piece and insert another screw. Glasses are literally renewed. I was in serious doubt. The cost was a small portion of what new titanium frames would be. Awesome! Don't even think about taking a frame problem anywhere else. Incredible work with a history of over 30 years of experience with frame repair. Wow. Needless to say, I am impressed AND extremely happy to have my glasses back in one piece. In a matter of hours! I dropped off a watch missing several crystals and a necklace with three broken strands for repair. I was told it would take a week to repair them both. After a week, and no call, I went to their shop where it took five minutes to find my jewelry and then i was told we don't untangle necklaces (?) and we don't replace crystals. I asked why I wasn't called and was told their phones had been down for two days, yet, the owner was talking on his cell when I arrived. Why did they take my jewelry to repair it? Why didn't they call? and why are they so unorganized they can't even find my items? On top of that, the owner was rude and treated me like I made a mistake on taking my stuff there....well maybe he was right about that. But I will never go back. more

Glasses broke Friday night. Called the folks at Jackson Optical Frame Repair and found out they're open until 5:30 on Saturday. Went by after work and the glasses were repaired very quickly while I waited. Had a great conversation with the gentleman who repaired them and was on my way with a fully functioning pair of glasses in a very short time. The price was very reasonable too. more

I needed immediate repair of my badly bent eyeglass frame, it was the afternoon of Easter Sunday eve, but I couldn't see to function, so they let me come. I have the titanium, real thin real fragile frames with no frame around the lens (like what you see Sarah Palin wear), they are hard to work with and easy to break. He repaired them perfectly and charged a fair price. He then instructed me on handling them to prevent recurrence of the problem . She was most friendly. They gave me prompt, efficient and most expert service. more

I brought in an old Victorian mantle clock and was told that other shops out source to this place for restoration. The rate was not inexpensive, $450. It started out ringing 21 times at midnight, I brought it back in, 2 days later picked it up and it has become even less reliable, regardless of the ""total rebuild"". This little hole in the wall shop will leave big hole in your wallet. Nice people to talk to, no complaint there, but substandard work, HORRIBLE for the price paid. Stay away! more

I dropped off a pair of earrings on January 26th to get a price to have them switched to white gold. A week later, I still hadn't heard anything and called them. Owner stated there were two options, white gold, or to have plated in rhodium, owner stated he was busy, asked if he could call me back. A week later, no call back, so I went to pick them up. He stated they were done and wants to charge me almost $300.00. Feel like to have no choice to get my diamond earrings back. Pros: None this time Cons: Felt swindled more
