I can't even explain ... 11/21/2006

Jackson Hole is amazing. That's all there is to it. JHMR itself has the best in the US hands down. The snow, terrain, and scenery are awesome. All the staff and locals are very friendly and helpful, always happy to share ski tips and the best powder spots. There's a great kids' program and terrain for almost every level of skiier. Not to mention, there are 3 other ski areas within a 2 hour drive (Snow King, White Pine, and Grand Targhee) to give you different terrain styles and snow. Jackson is a great town, with lots of Old West atmosphere and fun activities. Yellowstone is only a 3 hour drive, and Jackson Hole is right on the edge of Bridger-Teton National Forrest and Grand Teton National Park. All in all, Jackson Hole is an amazing vacation package that's underrated because of its remote location and lack of nightlife. Pros: Great Atmosphere, Lack of Crowds (Except near Christmas), Scenery, Snow Cons: Hard to travel to more

You'll hate it, stay away.... ;-) 1/20/2006

The only bad thing about Jackson Hole is the lift lines keep getting longer every year, and they are starting to approach Colorado's lines on big powder days. Don't come here if you want to ski/board miles of groomed runs, because they're not to be found. If you can't handle the deep powder, the trees, the steeps, the cliff bands, the out-of-bounds, you're gonna be left sitting in the lodge or get bored on the few groomers fast. There is ENDLESS amazing terrain, it's just not for you fashion bunnies. If you like Whistler or Crested Butte, you might be able to handle it here. Otherwise, stick to Summit County, CO and leave this place to the faithful. Pros: Terrain/Open Gates, Snow Quality, Remoteness Cons: Tram Lines, Cold, Tourists more

Best Snowboarding!! 7/14/2004

The hole has the best snowboarding! The terrain is absolutely wicked, you cant find more vertical and pow! Once you pull into Jackson you absolutely fall in love with the place and never want to leave. People there are way chill. There is never long lines for the lifts, and never to many people on the mountain, because its so huge. Everyone should board or ski the Hole atleast once in their life. You will never regret it!!!!!!! Pros: Best Vertical & Pow, People are awesome, Parking is close more

Great vacation 12/15/2003

Once I went to Jackson, I wanted to stay. The Mountain Resort has super skiing, and then I went back in the summer and oh man. Can you say "pretty"? Pros: Not crowded, Parking is close, Friendly Cons: Village too small more

One of the best kept secrets 2/2/2003

This place is amazing, There are NO areas on this continent that offer the home town atmosphere, suppurb sking, never better snow, and breathtaking view, as JH offers!! You will never get bored here! Pros: challenge, Snow, People Cons: Accessibility, Cold more

Great place... 1/7/2003

JH is a great resort & place to ski...but it is not a place for beginners, especially when it is packed ice. The second run of the day, I tore my ACL and it turns out that there were a few others who also did the same. Pros: Nice Clinic :) more

It just doesn't get any better! 1/3/2003

I have skied all over the world and there is no better place. They always have fresh powder, the people are amazing and the skiing is tough as can be. There are never lift lines and the skiing is wide open. It's the perfect place to ski! Pros: Terrain, Powder, Not crowded Cons: None, None, None more

Jackson.....nuff said 1/2/2003

Amazing, Big, Steep, Friendly, No Linesexcept at the tram on a powder day. Can Not be Beat by any Resort in America or Canada.. Pros: Steep, No Lines, Snow Cons: Town is Far, Not Enouph Night, Activities at Mount. more

JH Rocks 12/2/2002

Jackson Hole is by far the best skiing in this country! The terrain is difficult, the snow is great and the crowd is minimal compared to other skiing destinations. The mountain is big and it is not easy so only the experienced will be able to enjoy what JH has to offer. There are some bunny slopes, but not that many. The town is great so are the restaurants and the views are amazing. Doesn't have the ritz of a Vail or an Aspen, but according to me, those are just wannabe mountains anyway. Pros: Beautiful, Great Terrain, Short Lines more

The best skiing is in the "Hole" 11/17/2002

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is the best skiing in the nation. It has everthing from bunny hills to expert terrain. It has a terrain park, wonderful ski school and many other benefits. Jackson Hole has its own airport, so it really isn't that far out of reach. It also doesn't have the huge crowds and lines of other main ski areas. So you can get on the lift and have space coming down. Pros: small crowds, lodging and food, terrain Cons: more parking more

jackson viddies 11/12/2002

There simply is no better skiing in the United States. This is it. The mentality of the locals and those who adopt it upon arrival combined with the limitless ski-able area and perfect snow make it the kindest place on earth. Pros: snow, staff, difficulty Cons: cold, too kind more

this is what it all about 11/12/2002

the people there, from the mopuntain staff to the locals are the most amiable people I have encountereed in all of my travels. I highly reccomend this resort and the town for a grest experience of hospitality and skiing. It's worth the travel time!!!! Be sure to go to targhee and yellowstone. more

Whoa 11/12/2002

amazing runs, amazing snow - the best resort ive ever skied. however this resort is not for beginner skiers, as it offers some of the most challenging runs in america, and has often been voted the most exillerating place to ski. but if you are of a reasonable standard this place is perfect. it has a great town with some really good restaurants and stores. Pros: not crowded, great runs, breathtaking scenery Cons: can be hard to fly to more

Best in the nation! 11/12/2002

Jackson hole if you are a serious skier is by far the best mountain in the country. If you want a real skiing experience that rivals the alps or Whistler than this is the only place that can match up.California is too warm, utah is too crowded and Colorado never has enough snow. This place stays cold which equates to good snow consistency and good conditions all of the time.Temperature never gets above 20 in february so make sure you dress warm. But because of this cold you can always count on the snow being the best in the country.Dropping in under the tram and skiing the Hobacks I will never forget. The vertical is the largest in the country and believe me you will know that you have been skiing after a day at the Hole. Pros: Terrain, Snow, Weather Cons: None more

Steep & Deep 11/5/2002

Not a family resort! Jackson has the best skiing I've found in the U.S. Steep, deep runs abound. Best to have a local tour guide to find the shots and keep you from going where you shouldn't. Pros: hard to get to, no lines, fun terrain Cons: hard to get to, need more ski bunnies more
