My boyfriend wanted to buy a car, and his older brother who is a mechanic used to go there as his second job besides Pep Boys to help out and fix cars on the lot. So he suggested a car that would be cheap and easy for us. And so we continued to the process of buying it. There were problems, I guess. The woman who owned the place was all right, gave us paperwork and stuff and we paid her 1grand for the car.
Several days after we were having problems with the car. Sometimes it wouldn't even start up! We complained and she said she wouldn't fix it, nor get a towtruck to bring it up here unless we had the bill for the car, which would two up to 2 week to get in the mail, or else she wouldn't give us the money back. Which wasn't fair because when our car wouldn't start up in the parking lot. We were stuck for over 4 hours calling for help and it was a few DAYS away until her ""scheme"" was void. During the call she was very rude.
She had no right to sell us a car that couldn't get registered, but suddenly she had the excuse to tell us that she ""told us what was wrong with the car with the paperwork"" which I clearly don't recall. Doesn't seem fair at all. You could at least take the time to fix it! Like she promised until the brother stopped showing up to fix the other cars.
I understand that a car that was a cheap cost would have to be invested to fix other things that needed to be fixed, but she didn't have to act like a b*tch over the phone harassing us when we asked her about the car. :/
The battery was used, we had to buy a new one, the interior is filthy. They didn't even clean it! The seat in the back is nearly falling apart. No button for the radio. No AIR bag or HORN so we got rejected for a registration sticker.
Didn't help the fact the brother was taking forever to fix our car but kept avoiding it. So she fired him. They're both at fault but won't admit it.
This sh*t is ridiculous. Paying money every month for insurance for a car we barely drive anymore. Doesn't help that the gas is too much!
I would've rathered going else where if given the chance.
