When I first moved to Long Beach, I wasn't sure where to go look for a new salon, especially new hairstylist. I was a bit worry at first, but I did my research through google website, especially through yelp. And I found this amazing salon, and Walter was the first one that help me out. He was so amazing and still is amazing, he's a great stylist, very friendly and he took his time to style my hair. I absolutely love my haircut, I've been getting a lot of compliments, who doesn't like compliments, certainly not me, I just absolutely love my new look. I thank him for the wonderful and yet sexy look. Go and make an appointment, Walter is the best guy and stylist and will take the time to do whatever it takes to make you happy. I love my stylist, Walter. more

FANTASTIC! 9/20/2010

After recently relocating to LA from the East Coast I was extremely nervous about finding a hair stylist. I tried one salon the first weekend that I moved here, and needless to say it did not go well. I live in Beverly HIlls, and was referred to Guy Tang this past weekend. I was hesitant to drive all the way to Long Beach, but after he cut my hair I will now be driving there EVERY single time that I need a cut/color! He listened to what I wanted, and also gave suggestions on how to style my hair to get the most of it! He is fantastic! I highly recommend him! more

Guy Tang is an amazing stylist 9/10/2010

Guy first cut my hair at his salon in Tulsa, OK and it was amazing. He relocated to Southern California about a month ago and has already established himself as one of the great LA stylists. Guy is not just a stylist, he is a hair artist with an energetic personality! He has cut my hair twice since setting up shop at J.W. Goodson and each time has been perfect. Male or female I would encourage you to make an appointment! more

Angelo is the best! 3/9/2010

Angelo is a superb stylist. He knows exactly what to do without me even telling him. I'm new to the area and its so hard to find a good hair stylist/salon. I'm so blessed to have found J W Goodsons and Angelo. Its an awesome salon w/ many amenities/services. The staff is wonderful and very friendly. If you want great service at a reasonable price go to this salon and see Angelo. He is the best! Thank you Angelo! Pros: great availability and last minute scheduling Cons: parking is limited more

For an amazing experience have Angelo do your hair! 6/28/2009

Angelo permanently straightened my hair two weeks ago and my hair is still terrific. My hair is shiny, healthy and full off body, but better yet it is straight! The procedure will last for six months and is saving me lots of time every morning. We drove all the way from Valencia to his salon and it was well worth it. I was nervous about getting this done, but once he started he made it look so simple. He is a true professional and I would highly recommend him. Give Angelo Circo a call at 562 900-5079. I heart Angelo! 5/4/2009

I am very indecisive when it comes to my hair. I am always looking for a change but I never know exactly what to do. From the very first time I went to Angelo I could tell that he was very knowledgeable. He recommended many options for me and talked me through each style. He took into consideration my likes and dislikes. The final outcome was incredible! I absolutely loved the color and the cut was easy to style on my own. For the amount of time and energy he spent on my hair, the cost was very reasonable. I highly recommend Angelo and JW Goodson's Salon. Pros: friendly, incredible with color, wonderful cuts more

Angelo know his stuff. 1/9/2009

Every time I get my hair cut I am completely satisfied. Angelo cuts my hair so I don't have to fuss with it. What ever I do it just seems to work. When I set in Angelo's chair it's all about me and my hair, not about what he did last night or what's happening in the latest gossip mags. How refreshing a stylist that pays attention to his work. Angelo is a keeper. more

Tried most, but finally found Walter at JW Goodsons. He's amazing! 1/3/2009

I moved to Long beach about 2 years ago. I tried about 6-7 salons over the first year, and never really happy about, the cut, the color, the amount of time for their ""first available"" appt, and just the overall customer srvice. Pros: great and very consistent cut and color, at a very reasonable price Cons: The coffee could be better :) more

Angelo at J.W. Goodson's is NUMERO UNO! 12/14/2008

I have been going to Angelo Circo for over fifteen years now. Over all those years, I never left the salon anything but completely satisfied with his work. He is an expert cutter and colorist, to say the least. It's easy to make an appointment with him. He is available on his cell phone at 562-900-5079. Booking also can be done on line. Once an appointment is made, a computerized system will notify your e mail two days before the scheduled appointment, a real convenience if you are like me: forgetful in writing things down. The Goodson salon has a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Give Angelo a call or visit his website: I can assure you, you will not be disappointed with his work. more

Angelo is the best! 11/26/2008

I first met Angelo in July of 2007, I've been trusting him with my hair ever since. With the straightening technique, he's helped me get rid of my shrub-like hair. He's creative and always trying new things, he's a master colorist and I couldn't imagine going anywhere else to get my hair done. My boyfriend says that Angelo is the other man in my life and you know, I think he kind of is! more

Skill and Friendly Atmosphere. A Joy 11/12/2005

I have been a client of jw goodson's for nearly 10 years and now have my best friends raving about it too. Not an inauthentic ""kiss, kiss"" kind of place, but a downright friendly, warm atmosphere that proprieter Alan Dunn effectively champions with a healthy dose of hilarious banter and quirky anecdotes (mostly stories about some kind of bonehead move he made as a kid). Alan's color sense and clipping skills are not only well-honed, he gives each client a look unique to them but in keeping with their lifestyle and type of hair. Lonnie does nails like noone else in town. If you're sensitive, you'll find her delicate touch a soothing alternative to the brusque manner of the multiple chair places. And Shannie's facials are not to be missed! The tanning booths are clean and the computer tracking system a blessing. Prices are Long Beach-based (no LA $$$ here!). Pros: Great cutting skill, Tan, Nails, Facials, Never Rushed Cons: Parking little tight more
