Worst

Brought my Subaru into their shop multiple times over the summer for a slew of mechanical issues and they fixed it to par. They were NOT good at noticing if the parts they install...

Started off great, then got very lazy 9/26/2011

Brought my Subaru into their shop multiple times over the summer for a slew of mechanical issues and they fixed it to par. They were NOT good at noticing if the parts they installed were functional (put in a bad starter - i had to pay for labor, put in a bad head gasket - i had to pay for the circuits that fried from it). They recently turned on my car after installing a new head gasket and they didn't secure the timing belt on it, so I've got a few damaged valves. 2 weeks later they ordered the wrong parts and I'm still waiting for my car..... more

I have been using JP auto for 6 years and have only found complete honesty.My kids have all gone to Penn State.I am 8 hours away and repair my own vehicles.I always send my kids to JP for any repairs.They also keep a data base for all repairs and stand by their warrantys. more

I have had these guys do work multiple times and have always been happy. They charge by the book and their labor charge is reasonable for the area. They always call me before any repairs are made. I recommend them to anyone in the State College area. more

Favorite Auto Service Place 1/22/2010

I have been here to get auto service many times over few years. They are always professional and they are most knowledgeable. They have fair prices and most of all, they are straight-forward and honest. The night shift guy is really nice about checking my oil and tires when I buy gas there too. more

Stay Away From J & P Pro Auto Svc !!!!! 5/14/2009

This place is awful! they will rip you off!\r I went in for a state inspection, while I was at work they left me a voice-mail that said " Your Honda is ready." When I went to pick it up they had charged me an extra $30 to change a headlight! The guy said "yeah, it was real hard to get to..." Are you kidding me? And then he had the gall to also say.."yeah, we tried to get in touch with you.." What a load of BS! They never once called to ask or notify me before changing the headlight, and I have my doubts it was even out at all! more

My experience at J & P Pro Auto was a positive one. I will continue to go there. They treated my very fair. I am a woman and they did not talk down to me. They didn't try to sell me repairs that I didn't need. Their price on parts seemed reasonable. more
