Worst Customer service!!! 2/12/2011

I had the worst customer service of my life at this location. My sister highly recommended their iced white mocha, so i thought i would give it a try. The first time i went to this location, i walked in all excited to try my new drink and the guy told me they were closed. With my sad face i walked back to my car only to realize that they weren't supposed to close for at least another 5 minutes, not to mention that the door was wide open. Well, a couple weeks later i decided to give the store another try, BIG mistake. The owner was coughing while making drinks, and yelling at a trainee every two seconds, making me very uncomfortable. A customer before me said she ordered an iced version of her drink and the owner asked her if she said iced, the customer said she supposed not, and the owner said next time say iced and let her walk away. Because i had such a bad experience, i called the store to make a complaint and again encountered more rudeness, i asked for a phone number to someone above the owner and was told i could go yelp if i wanted to. well i didn't know what yelp was at the time so i looked up the corporate number and made my complaint. Little did i know they would give her my number and that she would call and instead of apologizing make excuses, call me rude in many ways and say never to come back to her store, when i tried to respond, she hung up on me! I will never go back to this location and i don't wish anyone else to be subjected to the kind of awful experience i encountered. more

Great Salads and Strong Coffee 2/26/2006

It's a Grind has a huge food menu, which is rare to find at coffee house, especially a local one with more limited resources and revenue. Their sandwiches aren't that great, and I'd recommend opting for one of their salads instead. They offer a huge variety of homemade salad dressings that include delicious fat-free options. The grilled chicken casear is always fresh, and the parmesan cheese grated on top is not pre-packaged parmesan, but fresh parmesan grated while your salad is being prepraed. The coffee is stong and reasonably priced. I've found that the flavored coffees aren't very bold, so I recommend getting black and sweetening it as you wish with cream and sugar. more

Starbucks is better -- and cheaper 8/16/2005

With a menu comparable to starbucks, plus more food items, it does not equal the quality of starbucks. Though i have never had the food, the drinks are not a flavorful, and are very expensive. The only plus for me is that it is next to my high-school. The staff has a bit of snobbish "we are better then you" attitude, and are not very friendly. The blended drinks are often "foamy", occupying most of the cup. Every once in a while, they taste watered down. I have stopped going there, finally. I would avoid it if you could and go down the street to the starbucks inside Albertsons. more
