Italian Villa

I grew up in the Bronx in NY and lived on Italian Food. Arthur Avenue has the best Italian in the country. I have lived in a lot of places and have always tried to find good italian restaurants besides my kitchen and it has been virtually impossible. When I moved to Lewisvile and found Villa, it was like going home. Everything about villa is Italy and traditional. The pizza is about the best around and their entree's are unbelievable! I have eaten just about everything on the menu in the 5 years I have been here. I will drive 1/2 an hour to pick up lunch and bring back to the office just for their food. Anyone that says their food is bad has no idea what Italian food is supposed to taste like. When you get used to the Italian food in the South, that is all you know so it is difficult to know which is right. So many restaurants and pizza places claim they are from NY and have the best pasta sauce and food in town but they are so far off it is not even funny. Their is no other place I would go eat Italian then Villa. Not even Bucca's in Southlake! Pros: Everything Cons: Not a Thing more

Pizza is good...very tasty. Dinners are horrible, see Hucknfrex's detailed review. Suggest Genti's in Corinth (5-miles north) just off 35 on Swisher, or 2 Guys From Italy off 635 and Josey. For pizza, this place is o.k....for dinner don't even think of it...save your money and your stomach. We were both violently ill all night after eating here! Pros: Pizza is very good. My wife and I go to this place at least once a week. The food is just amazing! The pizza is top-notch, and the prices are really good. My work has had them cater a few events, and people always enjoy the food. The atmosphere is very romantic. No playscapes mom and dads - sorry. The food is so worth it though.
