Look forward to returning! 8/9/2011

We were a party of 4 - could have easily accommodated another comfortably. Pool larger than most, hot tub, big rooms, and friendly staff recommended us an excellent restaurant our first night there, fridge bigger than most, rooms facing the spacious pool, extra bed, couch, eating area, balcony. Kept our parking spot and walked to all attractions during our stay for two nights. Look forward to returning! more

I can't wait to go back! 8/2/2011

My family came here and not only were the employees were so friendly and accommodating but the hotel was larger than I imagined. We had three double beds and there were only 4 of us. We had a large full-size refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker, which we had no idea they had and was great. We also had a private balcony. The location of the motel was great. the beach and boardwalk were only one block away. It was centrally located in town. The pool was large and the jacuzzi was nice. I can't wait to go back! I highly recommend this hotel. more

We are very glad we stayed at this hotel! 8/1/2011

The location was excellent- in four days we got in the car once to go somewhere. Our hotel room was two separate rooms with three double beds (not sofa beds-which was really nice) one bed in the front room with a table and four chairs, a fairly large fridge, coffee maker, TV, toaster, open closet with shelf and a large dresser. The back bedroom was very large with two double beds, a door opening to the private balcony, another large dresser and a second TV. The bathroom was a decent size and we were able to stay comfortably with 4 adults and 2 children- we were also able to put one of the kids on a small air mattress on the floor and still have room to move around. The maids gave us fresh towels every day but did not really sweep the floors well, but, other than slightly sandy floors, it was clean. The air conditioner was located in the front room and kept the back fairly cool with the door open, but you might want to bring a fan for the back room. The motel was located one block from the boardwalk and centrally to many shops and restaurants. They have grills by the pool that the whole hotel shared - they were not the greatest but we were able to grill for one of our meals to save money, but were also able to make breakfast in the room microwave to save money as well. The fridge was great because we could keep milk for cereal and juice and yogurt for the kids. The pool was really nice and although there were a lot of teenagers staying at our hotel there was little or no noise past 10 pm. The beds were a little bit hard, and the sheets a little rough, and the pillows a little firm- but to be expected for a fairly low price. Would not want to pay $100 more a night just for nicer sheets- would rather stay another night at the beach! We are very glad that we stayed at this hotel. more

nice and pleasant 7/26/2011

the reviews on this hotel are truly false i stayed there 7/21/11 to 7/24/11 and i have nothing bad to say about this hotel....the rooms are big and most of all it was clean but what i really like about the room is the nice tile floor....other hotels have carpet which are not always clean. The management staff was very nice and pleasant!!!! I will be going back again this year and years to come I also advise whoever is reading this to stay at this hotel you will not be sorry. more

Pleased with location staff and accomodations 7/22/2011

Our family (2adults and 2 children, 10 & 7) stayed at Isle of Palms the week before the busy season began in June. We were pleased with location, staff, accommodations, facilities (particularly the well maintained pool) and parking. The rooms were spacious and cleanned well (inquire about the special rates for suites). The hotel attracted similar families as our own and our kids had other children to play with even a week before the busy season began. We brought our bikes and took advantage of before 11 AM rides on the Boardwalk and other bike excursions around town. The staff allowed us to lock our bikes in a safe area near the office. If we return to Wildwood, this hotel will be our first choice. We highly recommend Isle of Palms. more

Awesome! 7/18/2011

Awesome! That's the word I'd use when describing our stay at Isle of the Palms! I was pleasantly surprised to see how nice the place was especially after reading all of the awful reviews. Maybe we just lucked out, but the place was great! We had 4 adults and 6 kids in our room and I was really nervous about the space issue. But it was very roomy. And I brought Frabreze at the advice of another reviewer but didn't need it because it actually smelled really good in there! We had the two room room with the two double beds in one room with a balcony and a double bed and pull out sofa in the other. We did bring fans to circulate the air since there was only on AC but nobody complained about it being too hot. We were on pool level and didn't hear any noise past a certain hour and even beforehand it wasn't unbearable. We will definelty stay here again. Only this time we will stay three nights instead of the two! Oh and we had two cars. You are only allowed one per room but they are affilated with another hotel and we were able to park there for $10 a night. Not bad considering we are talking prime time summer time! Also, I stayed in a lot of hotels in Wildwood, this ranks highest on my list! No BS! more

very happy 7/14/2011

The first time I stayed at this hotel I was very happy with our accomadations. Yes towels were a bit rough but thats why I bring beach towels with me. Most of the hotels in Wildwood have rough towels and most much rougher than the ones at the Isle of Palms. I have been going to Wildwood every year since I was a kid and this has to be my favorite hotel. I've stayed here 2 years in a row and will be staying here again in July of 2006. There are alot of families at this hotel and we met alot of very nice people (that we are planning our vacation to the Isle of Palms with next year), our kids (age 3 mos., 3, 11, & 14) always had someone to hang out with wether it was at the game room or at the pool or just on the balcony outside of our room. This is the one and only hotel in Wildwood that I can honestly say I will come back too. more

the right hotel 7/12/2011

My family stayed here for 3 days in late July. There were 6 of us in a room. We booked the room after seeing the hotel website a month before going. A week before going my son found this website that had reviews of the hotel and after reading some of them was not sure we had picked the right hotel. But upon arriving we found that most of the reviews were totally wrong. I stayed in lots of hotels in Wildwood and I have to say that this was the nicest places in downtown wildwood. The pool was beautiful the room was very nice air condition worked great carpeting did not make our feet black as some has said. The bathroom was very clean, beds were very comfortable and clean. All in all it was a very nice hotel. I would recommed it to any family going to Wildwood. more

gorgeous! 7/11/2011

The Isle of Palms is the best place to stay in Wildwood. It is 2 blocks from the beach & the boardwalk. Restaurants are in walking distance too. They have an olympic sized pool with diving board, a baby pool for the little ones and a jucuzzi. The service is the best and the room is gorgeous!! We've been staying there since 1989. more

perfect 7/8/2011

We stayed at the Isle of Palms this summer with our children and grandchildren. The facility is very clean, and the staff was extremely courteous and helpful. We thought the rates were very fair. The baby pool for perfect for the little ones, and we were pleased with the size of the rooms. It was just a short walk to the Boardwalk and restaurants, and beach area. We will definitely go back. more

a great find 7/5/2011

We come to Wildwood each year for a family vacation. Now our children are grown, and the grandkids come too. We have stayed in many nice (and not so nice) places, but this would rank as one of the very best. It was very clean, very comfortable and very affordable. We had a large suite that included 2 King, 1 double and 1 sofa bed, so it was very roomy. On two of the six nights we had 9 in our group (6 adults and 3 kids). The staff was wonderful as well, our compliments and thanks to Pat and her terrific team of people. I have seen the other reviews that were not so good. I wonder if they selected the right place to review. This place was really a great find, and we are looking forward to returning next year more

fantastic! 6/30/2011

Myself and some companions were traveling across NJ and hadnt planned on staying very long in Wildwood. As soon as I walked through the doors, the staff immediately made me feel at home. The view of the boardwalk from our fourth floor balcony was fantastic! I had read some reviews on here that made me kinda of wary about choosing. more
