The Scene
Along with six acres of pumpkins, the Pinestead Pumpkin Patch features campfires, farm animals and Halloween cutouts for picture-taking. But when the snow falls (actually the day after Thanksgiving), it's time to start thinking about decking the halls. Some folks are pine lovers; others swear by spruces. Whatever your tree predilection, there are several award-winning varieties to choose from. (Saws provided; pre-cut trees also available.) Go at night (call for schedule) and enjoy the lights, as well as a fabulous view of the stars. Christmas season attractions include wreaths, gifts and crafts, cider and cookies, and an animal barn, as well as weekend additions like hayrides and carriage rides, Yule fires, and visits from Santa.
