Irene learned grooming in Worth IL at the age of 13. She started out by working for an expert poodle handler from Germany helping her to bathe her customers pets. From there her responsiblities grew has she was taught how to groom, not only poodles, but all breeds of dogs and cats, the right way. The woman who taught Irene took on only a limited amount of students who went on to groom for various competitions and celebrities. Irene's skills were honed grooming for competition dog shows. She is a recipient of a best all around groomer award.
Irene now uses the expertise and knowlege gained on the finer points of dog and cat grooming on your pet. Techniques such as balancing and scissoring to qualify for AKC standards or to just make your beloved pet look great!
Voted by her piers, Irene was the past president of the Illinois State Professional Dog Groomers Association (ISPDGA). She is also a member of the National Dog Groomers Association of America (NDGAA).
Irene has demonstrated grooming practices for large audiences of people but she says that it is her ability to work with the animals personality that is her most special trait.
