i took my car in to get it checked out at a garage and they ended up deciding that my valve cover gasket was leaking. I asked them to go ahead and change the oil since I was there. I get my oil changed every 3000 miles...they gave me the filter too, I've got it in my car. They told m e that there is no way they are changing my filter in my car, he said they havnt done it in at least 2 to 3 oil changes , thats 6 to 9 months! So I called instant lube, and found out not only have they not been changing it, they have been charging me an extra charge for my filter... they stripped my oil pan screw last year not only did no one fess up or offer any kind of refund or help in the matter, my attempts to get in contact with they owner district manager were ignored. I tried to call but they just kept repeating that they always change the filter...all i wanted was an apology and it will never happen again, instead I got a lecture about how everyone is out to drive them out of business. And how a friend of mine was lying to me...this coupled with the oil pan problem, I don't think I'll be back, I need to sever ties, and will change my own oil from now on it seems it is the only way I can be sure what is or isn't done to my vehicle
at the very least they should have compensated offered me a free oil change...they lost app 176 dollars of revenue a year because the manager does not know how to apologize!
