Recruiter LIED 12/23/2011

While working for another company, I was looking for a way to improve my situation. When Insight called me, the FIRST question I asked was if the position were full-time and permanent. I was assured that yes, 40+ hours per week. Permanent. Had they indicated anything less, i would not have continued the interview. I was not going to leave a permanent (albeit awful) job for a temporary one under ANY circumstances. I was promised a competitive salary, and a bonus at the completion of my first project. They gave me a start date, I quit my old job, and then they put the job on hold for 2 months. The job was enjoyable enough, but the pay was 25% less than I'd been promised. They said it would be made up in the way of a bonus at the end of the project, along with a raise. The project ended, and so did my employment. No raise, no bonus, no permanent job. Just before Christmas, too. (I know the termination was NOT performance based, the head of the company which was the end customer called me and praised my work) more

I love this company 5/17/2011

I started my career with Insight Global one month after graduating from the University of Texas in 2010 and cannot imagine my life having made any other choice than to work at Insight Global. The company culture is captivating. From my very first day walking in the office I absorbed the contagious positive energy. Being surrounded by such smart, motivated and energetic people is inspiring. One of the best aspects of Insight Global is that everyone’s’ success is dependent on the success of others so in addition to the team atmosphere, you have people consistently fighting for you to do well. The camaraderie overflows outside of the office where my coworkers became my best friends in a new city. \r \r Insight Global is entirely responsible for my professional and personal happiness. I wake up happy every single morning knowing that I am a part of something unique and special. In less than a year I have developed business acumen, excellent communication and professional habits that have shaped me into a successful, confident business woman. I feel so blessed to say with complete confidence that I will retire with Insight Global. I do not have any friends that can say that their first job at their first company after graduating college will last longer than a 3 year stint, but as a result of the incredible mentorship and encouragement at IGI, I feel at home. I highly recommend Insight Global to driven, intelligent, outgoing recent college graduates because at this company, you make your own success and have a blast while doing so. \r \r more

Great Experience! 4/13/2011

I started my career with Insight Global about 2 years ago, and I have loved every minute of it. This is a big company with a small company atmosphere. Each office is very close and the camaraderie between the employees makes work fun. \r \r Not only that, but Insight Global is a completely ""organic"" company. Everyone above you has done your job and understands how to help when needed. Insight does hire recent college graduates and has a great mentorship program to insure success.\r \r I couldn't be more thankful for this opportunity and I would recommend this company to anyone.\r more

My Experience with Insight Global as a Contractor 12/7/2009

My experience with Insight Global began during a time where I faced major difficulties. I had just lost my job and, due to the difficult economic conditions, my optimism to finding a similar opportunity was progressively weakening. Luckily, the Career Support Services at New England Tech put me in touch with Insight Global. It was the best thing that happened to me in 2008. The agency offered me a third shift position with an excellent compensation. This second chance was exactly what I needed in order to sustain myself, pursue my education, and finally get my life back on track.\r Insight Global is by far the best employer I have ever worked for. Its staff is so dedicated to meeting the needs of its partners and clients. In fact, whether I worked with Alex, Chris, or Courtney, the agency has always treated me with respect and dignity. They lived up to their promises by making sure that I got compensated on time and accurately. Throughout the contract, Alex and Courtney consistently called me to ensure that I was being treated fairly.\r I will never thank Insight Global enough for the changes it brought into my life. This appreciation is not just for the employment opportunity it offered me. It is also for the way its staff caries its mission by always surpassing the expectations of their customers and partners.\r more

Early Success!!! 11/17/2009

Insight Global is hands down one of the best, if not the best opportunities out there. The opportunity to move up and advance early on in your career alone is an advantage that most other corporations simply cannot offer. For the past 4 years we have been one of the fastest growing companies in the US, ranked in 2009 as one of the top 100 private/public staffing companies at number 57 in only 8 years and we continue to grow daily. It is absolutely incredible to be so young but be a part of something so big to where you can actually write your own ticket to success.\r \r I've looked around and have tried to find a company similar to ours and I simply have not found it. There are not many companies out there that you can be in management in your first year out of school. I will not sugarcoat it; we work extremely hard and long hours. However, what in life comes easy? I have been with IGI for 2 1/2 years and can see myself working many more. If you are looking for a great company with an awesome environment this is the place for you! \r more

Insight Global...rudest recruiters, unprofessional!! 11/16/2009

The recruiters or maybe even 'sales agents' that I spoke to act as if they’re in a hurry to hang up from the “hello” They were rude, insensitive, rushed and attempted to retrieve personal information that could potentially be used to discriminate against me in their decision to offer job opportunities. Upon hearing I have been unemployed over a year the individual acted extremely surprised and asked in surprise: “you’ve been searching for a whole year?” as if it was the first time she’d ever heard of anyone unemployed for a long period of time. I was asked why did I think I was not being offered a job by those I applied for, I was asked about what other companies I’ve been applying and interviewing with; what other contracting agencies and for which clients; what positions specifically by title have I applied to…I had to interrupt her line of questioning to ask relevance to the opportunity I was been considered for, the response was that they needed to make sure I’m not applying with their clients…ok I have NEVER been questioned in detail about my past/current job application history. Throughout the “conversation” (it felt like I was talking to someone under the influence of a mega-accelerating stimulant) the recruiter consistently interrupted my responses by talking over me. This has never been my experience with any other recruiting agency or direct employer. I call back, ask to speak to another individual who called me and they transferred me to rude person #1, not the other individual who called. My impression is, if they’re like this from the start, to “lure me in” to work with them it only makes me wonder and gives me the creeps to think how much worse they’ll be after they get me to sign a job contract. They definitely placed serious doubts in my mind as to their commitment to the individuals they place with their clients. Cons: rude, unprofessional more

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE INSIGHT GLOBAL 11/15/2009

I have to brag that Insight Global is an AMAZING company to work for!\r \r I have a much different perspective than most because I didn't join IGI right out of college. After graduating I held 3 other jobs; event planning, advertising and at another staffing agency. I always thought I wanted to be in advertising, but if you really want to see what it's like to be underpaid, over worked and taken advantage of then that is the way to go. I made $24k, worked from 8am-12am 4 days a week and was not allowed to go to lunch. Seriously I dare anyone to beat that!\r \r Insight Global offers many great things for young adults and the absolute best is OPPORTUNITY. When you work in other industries (including advertising) you are just one of many fighting for any promotion, the same promotion, just to make some extra money. At IGI everyone has an equal opportunity to not only grow and get promoted, but to make as much money as they want. It's sales so most of your income is from commisions (although I must say that our base pay, car compensation, expense account, and phone compensation are worth a whole lot) which means that it's a hard job and not everyone can do it. All sales jobs are hard, but if you are a person who is determined to be successful and make a lot of money at a young age and you'll work hard for it, then you will reap the benefits.\r \r Aside from the money, IGI is the most caring company I have ever worked for. The executives and management genuinly care about the success of each individual. They don't flaunt their wealth and watch you suffer, they are there for you, helping you along to reach your personal goals.\r \r I haven't been happier in the last four years than I am today, and I owe it to IGI. If you want opportunity and success (and you are willing to work for it) then IGI is the place for you! Pros: OPPORTUNITY! more

TERRIBLE INTERVIEW, UNPROFESSIONAL PEOPLE 11/13/2009

I am a recent college graduate and was contacted to interview with this company. I drove 4 hours to their Charlotte office because I was Naive. Drawbacks of this was they did not pay for my travel. When I told them the negative reviews written by employees they had nothing to say about that. WASTE OF TIME for my and anyone else that has had this problem. I have had other interviews in Charlotte and usually get paid 300 just to interview. ANOTHER bad thing. NO philanthropy? What kind of company will not have a set philanthropy? They say they care about other things besides work but come on, you cant be serious about not having a nationwide philanthropy. By the looks of things they arent the best at recruiting, this is more of a real estate business since they have so many offices and have no credibility. The guy kept burping during the interview process, I am sure he went to college but there is a thing called etiquette. Overall, I dodged the bullet by being agressive with my interview and knowing I would not benefit from this company at all as a young professional. Now I found a job in Charlotte as a Logistics Broker making $51K a year. But I will never get the day I wasted with Insight Global. Pros: Nothing Cons: EVERYTHING more

Great consultant agency 11/12/2009

I have been an IT consultant for 10 years and worked with many recruiting agencies. Most of the time, I work with 2 or 3 in one year. Insight Global's customer service oriented, energetic employees, and impeccable payment record make them the best group of people I have ever worked with. My most recent experience in a consultant role for one of Insight Global's clients was one of my most challenging to date. There were many times when I needed my expenses paid ahead of time for the intensive travel I was doing and every time I notified Insight Global, they took care of me and were happy to do it. Not to mention, every time I called in I always got a voice on the phone and was never transferred through an automated system. I miss that.\r From the viewpoint of a consultant, I could see why MFoxen1 (below) would have a hard time working for IGI. If you're not extremely motivated, hard-working, and willing to go out of your way to do your job better than anyone else, it would not make you happy to work there.\r Like I said, my experience with consulting companies is far-reaching, and Insight Global is as successful as they are for a very good reason. Thank you, IGI. Pros: Excellent customer service more

Great Company 10/20/2009

As an IGI employee of 3 years, I have to agree with the other IGIEmployee. I heard about IGI from my university's career center, and began the interview process with an on campus interview. I loved the high-energy, conversational approach to an interview, and understood immediately that I would fit in with the company culture. \r \r When I heard I would be making a base salary, uncapped commission, 100% company paid benefits and had an opportunity to be promoted based on work ethic and merit, I knew that I had found the company I wanted to work for. \r \r I was told the entire way through the process that the hours were 7-5 (and compared to my brother who works 80 hours a week minimum as a financial analyst, and my sister who does marketing 9am-9pm for pennies in New York), that seemed fine with me, especially because you are working for uncapped commission. I have not found anything that my recruiter or interviewers said to be false, and have loved working my way up in the company. \r \r This is a place for people who want an opportunity to work for a fast growing company, great people who challenge you daily, and definitely want to work with people in a sales/ relationship management position. It's not for everyone, but if you are looking for these things, consider applying. \r \r I also have to agree with the other IGI employee, the best thing you can do is to formulate your own opinion by interviewing yourself and by speaking with the people who live it each day. However, if you want to base your opinion off of someone who wrote a negative review online, it's up to you. Pros: Base Salary, 100% paid benefits, commission, bonuses, people more

Great Place To Work 10/15/2009

First of all, here's the honest opinion of Insight Global from someone who's actually credible and has lived it for the last two years. \r \r I was contacted by IG right out of school and have been working with them ever since. Yes, it's a hard-working job however if you're the type of person who wants to create your own success by working for it each day- then you'll fit right in. \r \r Let it be known that the reason people like these two post fabricated statements like that is because they are either A) competitors or B) people who shouldn't have received the offer from us in the first place b/c we hire ""professionals"". These two must have slipped through the cracks unfortunately. \r \r I'd say formulate your own opinion by interviewing yourself and speak with the people who live it each day. Pros: Culture, responsibility, ppportunity, compensation ... more

This Company is ridiculous..recent college grads watch out! 3/18/2009

This company is basically out to scam recent college grads! I graduated from UMiami last spring..and this company contacted me immediately. The first thing my parents said was NO WAY..you don't want to work for a staffing company of any sort. Should have taken there advice, you make a measly 30 grand a year..WORKING 7 TO 5 each day..that's 10 hours a day...everyone who works at every office all over the US can't be older than 23..no one in their right mind over that age would even bother..it's like slave labor and absolutely miserable. Don't waste your time! Pros: Parking? Cons: Everything more

INSIGHT GLOBAL IS TERRIBLE!!! STAY AWAY!!! 5/7/2008

This place is a straight scam. They rip off their contractors and their abused internal employees regularly mishandle sensitive information. Don't give up half of your hourly wages to these crooks.\r \r There are good staffing firms out there -- look around. These ppl lie to you and then take half your paycheck (literally HALF!). If you have any skills whatsoever, you have no reason to subject yourself to these hacks. Pros: Parking Cons: Everything else more
