A great get-away 2/11/2006

OK, we've not been there since the original managers moved to Montana or whereever, but I trust it has retained its roots. This is a wonderful place on Whidbey that we've gone to for romantic getaways and for a big 40th birthday bash. It is a perfect blend of relaxing interiors, a very nice spa and lots of outdoor activities. On one weekend for the birthday bash, we kayaked, spa'ed and rode bikes around the island. Then settled down at the big table to watch our dinner get prepared and enjoyed some fabulous wine. They have an incredible wine list of really rare washington wines, so the foodie and wino will be very happy. Super tranquil location yet very close to Seattle. Check it out. more

Inn at Langley = Romantic Inn 12/15/2005

The Inn at Langley is a terrific B&B located in a neat little town on Puget Sound not too far from Seattle. (It's not on the coast I know but it is seaside) Not sure what the pet policiy but it's worth calling them to find out. Alternatively, you could head up to Port Townsend where there is a plethora of B&Bs from which to choose. Great beach combing etc. there too. You can't go wrong with either town and I'd start with the one closer in. Good luck! more

Very special 11/29/2005

Excellent! Had a superb six course dinner prepared by Chef Matt Costello using Whidbey Island’s local seasonal ingredients. This was something special. more

Best Engagement Spot 9/12/2005

www.innatlangley.com The staff at the Inn at Langely are top notch and really want to make your stay memorable. My Fiancée and I were engaged there. His idea was to write "will you marry me" on the bed with chocolates for me to find when we arrived back to the Inn from dinner. --And that is exactly what happened!! The front desk staff did it for him when we were out. This day was also my birthday; and everyone knew it. They all wished me a happy birthday. It was a very special day. As for the rooms, the Inn at Langely is in a quite spot on the East side of Whidbey Island. All of the rooms are overlooking the water, right at the edge of the beach. The room comes with a spacious shower and tub. It was very nice to soak in the tub in the morning and watch the boats go by with my cup of coffee. We did not get to eat at the Inn as they were not serving dinner the nights we were there. I did enjoy wandering through their herb garden near the dining room. It is a tranquil place in a quaint town. We were there during the week, so it was even more quite than the norm. more

Romantic Inn 8/24/2005

The Inn at Langley is a great romantic destination. The rooms all face the water and have deep soaking tubs with water views. Great comfy furniture - we went during the summer, but would love to come back in the winter - it would be a perfect place to watch the winter weather and curl up with a book. The dinner is amazing - the desserts are especially good. Location makes it an ideal weekend get-away from Seattle. Not too far to drive, but far enough to feel like a vacation. Nice continental breakfast on the morning. more

A good get-away from Seattle 7/20/2004

You need a close-to-seattle-but-far-enough get-away? The Inn at Langley is meant to be a great choice. I've only had dinner there myself, but I've heard enough people give it props that I'm convinced that it's a fun place to stay too. That's where I'd head to save my sanity if I wanted an escape-the-kids overnight. more
