fresh! 4/21/2009

This place is excellent. The food is as fresh as you can get, the owners are fun, and it's cheap. Their sandwiches at $5 are a steal. I'd easily pay $8 for them! Pros: cheap, delicious, and great owners more

Try this place and you will be hooked 1/20/2009

I am a Vietnamese food freak. This place is the best in town. Specials on weekends, most friendly mom and pop staff...you gotta go there. Pros: locally owned, fresh ingredients, good service more

Best Pho in Columbus! Great service! 8/20/2008

Unfortunately, I was quite frustrated when trying to find this place, as CitySearch offers 885S Hamilton as the address, but it is not.. It is at 561 S Hamilton Rd, a bit further down the road in their own building with a nice big dark green tarp with their logo. Pros: Service, price, food Cons: The entrance was paved terribly and needs to be fixed, caution when entering the parking lot too fast. more

Authentic yet flexible food, wonderful owners and staff 9/20/2007

This is one of those off the beaten trail places that once you discover you just can't stay away from. Pros: Great Food, Wonderful Service, Excellent insights into the culture and cuisine more

Family run joint, with kids always ding homework, watching one of the several large plasmas hanging around. I'm from San Francisco, where I can pick up a good bowl of noodles all over the place. Columbus has only one pho' joint worth going to, and this is it. Food is excellent, service is a bit slow because they're in the back making everything to order. Standard Rice plates, pho', etc. Spring rolls are off the hook! Food made with love by good people. Pros: Fresh homemade food Cons: Made by your waiter more

Best Spring Rolls in town 10/20/2006

This cafe has only been in existence for only 1 1/2 years now but compared to the other Viet restaurants in Columbus, it is the best in authenticity. A nice atmosphere, the wait staff was very attentive. Although compared to other Vietnamese restaurants as it was a tad slow, it was well worth it as everything is made to order and biting into our appetizers showed the attention to detail they put into making everything look and taste good. The spring rolls were huge, with the shrimp being more like a prawn in these rolls, mixed in with the pork, rice vermicelli, basil, mint and cilantro. The fried spring rolls were nice and crisp, tasty against the sweet and sour chili sauce. Our phos came out piping hot, with the portions more than I expected, making the value of this entree very affordable compared to the other Viet restaurants. The combination bun (grilled pork and fried spring rolls) looked and tasted very good as well, although the sauce lacked any sweetness and ended being more of a nuoc mam (fish sauce) than a vinagrette that would normally go with this dish. I spoke to the chef afterwards and there are items not standard on the menu that she could make as well including banh xeo (happy moon, I consider a Vietnamese omelete with a mixture of pork, shrimp, onion, and bean sprouts) and banh cuon, a rice flour crepe filled with a meat mixture, on a bed of , blanched bean sprouts, shredded butter lettuce and julienne cucumbers. She recommends that you call that order ahead if the restaurant is busy for these specialy items or any other Vietnamese fare that is not standard on the menu. Pros: Great Vietnamese food Cons: Location, Nuoc Mam for Bun dishes more
