Worst Indian I have ever had 5/9/2009

I am now reminded to read recent reviews of restaurants, and to read more than one to gain a true picture of a restaurant. Went to India Garden at Cary Mall for Saturday lunch buffet and left disgusted. I love Indian food, but the food I tried on the buffet was bland, terribly oily, and the supposed delicious butter chicken was mealy. The raita was not more than just sour, but inedible. Place was empty, atmosphere awkward, and I will never be back. This place apparently had delicious food back in the late 1990s...but I happily paid the 10 dollar buffet fee just to leave the place. Pros: Nothing Cons: Greasy, luke warm mush on buffet bar, dismal atmosphere more

Great Place to Enjoy Delicate Flavors 3/11/2009

I love eating Indian Food at your place. I enjoy all of the dishes, they are trutly special; the vegetables, the chicken, the rice and bread are just a delight. I love the aromas going on and the delicate flavors of the food. It's hard to pick a favorite dish- I like them all. more

Terrible food and service 3/1/2009

This was my first visit to this restaurant, there was no one there when i arrived (but it was raining so i figured i'd give them a break), this restaurant was very dated inside too. Pros: Fast service, good location Cons: Service, quality of food, old inside more

I highly recommend this place to everyone!!! 2/1/2009

India Garden is one of my favorite restaurant. I try to come here as often as I can. They always have great food and wonderful service. Their weekend buffets have far more choices then any other Indian restaurants in Cary and their price is very reasonable. I highly recommend this place to everyone!!! Pros: Great tasting food more

Great tasting Indian Food!!!! 9/24/2008

I just moved into this area a few months ago and tried out different Indian restaurants in Cary. I came to know about India Garden last Saturday when I came to Cary Town Center Mall. I am so glad I found this restaurant. Their food was excellent and tasted so fresh. My husband and I had dinner buffet and ordered an extra dish form the menu to go. I was very please about the quality of their food, their portion, the price and their service. I would definitely come back to this place and recommend it to my friends as well. Pros: Great Food Cons: The place is a bit hard to find more

THE BEST INDIAN RESTAURANT IN NORTH AMERICA!! 8/20/2008

I came to Cary for vacation from Chicago and wanted to try an Indian cusine. I tried another Indian restaurant, but I thought India Garden was more homey and alot better food. I recommened India Garden because they are very authentic and family friendly. Pros: food & service Cons: none more

Awesome Indian Cuisine!!!! 6/16/2008

i have been eating at this restaurant for some time now every time i visit Cary. the atmosphere is always very nice and the service is great. but now to the main part: the food. the buffet is really nice because it has a lot of dishes (10 or more), which is much more than most Indian restaurants. the offer a variety of veg and non-veg dishes including butter chicken (yum!!!), lamb curry, veg curry, etc. salad bar and desserts are also included. the price is very reasonable at around $8 (weekdays). they also have the best mango lassi i've had. dishes of the menu are good too and are prepared quickly. highly recommended :-) Pros: plenty to choose from in buffet, service more

India Garden- not insect garden! 5/22/2008

I have eaten here 6 or 7 times;yesterday I ate there at dinner time . While eating my veggie Samosas my dinner partner notice a ""crawling filthy insect "" climbing up the wall. We told our waiter and left !! Needless to say ,I won't be eating there again. more

yam yam yam!!! 3/3/2008

This place has the best butter chicken I have ever tasted and the items on their weekend buffet are awesome!! You can really taste the authenticity in all their dishes. The staffs were friendly and attentive and they told me that I can get a discount because I am a student? how nice. I highly recommend this place to everyone. Pros: Greate Food, Great Seveise, Great Drinks Cons: Place is hard to find more

Great food and wonderful service 2/21/2008

We go to this restaurant at least once a month. The menu is extensive especially for vegetarians and the prices are fair judging by the quality of the food. The service is friendly and helpful. This is a great place to eat if you're gluten intolerant. Pros: Food, service, size of menu, price Cons: ambience-the furniture needs some help more

best Indian Buffet In cary 11/10/2007

It was my great experience to have indian buffet. i went to visit a friend of mine in cary and she recomanded to taste in india garden. Overall, the resturant was clean and nice and the Sunday buffet was remarkable. They had more choices and i loved their butter chicken, goat curry, chana masala, biriyani, and naan bread. if you have not visit in india garden yet, i recommand everyone should go and taste their meal. you will not be disapointed. Their weekday buffet is also cheap and good. They have more varities of dishes in buffet then any other indian restaurants in cary. Pros: plenty of parking Cons: it would be nice to have south indian food more

Great for first-timers, authentic for old hats 10/9/2007

Very very highly recommended! Like I said, the menu provides wonderful descriptions and it broken up in an organized fashion to make someone new to Indian cuisine feel much more comfortable with ordering. Many options, especially with appetizers, naan, and smaller dishes. Huge portions are served family style for a good price. Most dishes come with different varieties of main ingredients (chicken, beef, veggie, etc). Pros: No wait, attentive staff, authentic food, simple-to-understand menu, many options, ample parking Cons: none I can think of! more

Best Indian food I've ever had 10/6/2007

While I've been to Indian restaurants with more ""ambience,"" this one by far has the best food & best service. They do galub jamun PERFECTLY. Oh, it is SO delicious. I've tried their samosas, all of the breads, several chicken dishes, and the ""happy meal"" feast for two. All are fantastic! I have only ever been there on Mondays, and it's always quiet, relaxing, casual. Great place for a low-key week-night date - I recommended it to a couple of my friends who were going out to dinner together for the first time and wanted someplace they could just sit and TALK and have wonderful food. They loved it. I have another group of friends who get together once a month & we've tried several different restaurants over the past couple years - we LOVE this one and now it's the only place we go. Always seated promptly. Easy to find, not far off the freeway, ample parking, attached to the Cary Towne Center Mall. Pros: Best Indian food, easy to find, ample parking, excellent service more

The best Indian in the Triangle 10/3/2007

I know that we're all fond of those grubby hole in the wall Indian restaurants where things are more ""authentic"", but every once in a while we want some Indian that doesn't make our gastrointestinal tracts ache. India Garden is amazing, the service is fantastic, the wait staff is personable and helpful, everything is clean, and the food is incomparable. more

Fine Indian Dining Experience 10/3/2007

India Garden is a gem among restaurants. The attentive and thoughtful wait staff is thorough and knowledgeable, and has the ability to explain complex indian cuisine with a minimum of fuss. The chicken vindaloo is sensational in its spiciness, and the garlic nan was perfect to cut the taste. Pros: Taste, Service, Ambience, and Cost Cons: None that I can find. more

Great Indian fare! 9/24/2007

Best dining experience since moving here two years ago. Prompt, attentive service; server patiently explained all menu items and made excellent suggestions. The Happy Dinner for two was superb: spicy vegetable samosas to start, followed by plates of hearty lentils, a colorful tandoori platter of chicken and shrimp on sizzling veggies, creamy butter chicken (their most popular dish) that melts in your mouth, perfect rice and a basket of puffy fragrant naan. Dinner was topped off with a dish of cool, silky rice pudding, the perfect ending. Hungry as we were, we still had enough left over for two more meals and our fridge never smelled so good. We are looking forward to the weekday lunch buffets and Friday/Saturday dinner buffets. The India Garden is now our official home restaurant. We expect to return frequently with our family, friends and out-of-town guests. Do NOT miss this place! Pros: Endless, mouthwatering aromas and dishes Cons: Can't name any more

Great tasting Indian Food 9/20/2007

I've been a fan of Indian food for 20 years and India Garden satisfies my craving every time. Sag paneer, butter chicken, and their lamb dishes along with great tasting rice, naan, and yogurt sauce....ummm good! Usually I get carryout and I've never been disappointed with the quality and taste of the food. Pros: Great food Cons: Service is only average more

Perfect would be the correct word! 8/2/2007

India garden has stepped up their game big time. They have renovated the restaurant giving it a new and improved look. The new menu is amazing and gives a wide variety to choose from! However, one thing still has not changed; the outstanding tasting food. Its a great place to bring the family or even business meetings. The friendly staff makes sure to satisfy the customer by providing our every need. Once I walked into the restaurant my mouth began watering with the deliciouses fumes that filled the air. Without a doubt I recommend their Indo-Chinese. It's the best I've ever had and leaves you wanting more even after loosening up a couple of those buttons to your slacks! Now they even provide free delivery! They sure know how to make our lives easier! I must say that they do speak the truth when they say they are the ""King of Indian cuisine"". Pros: The new look is excellent Cons: they forgot to renovate the front of the restaurant! more
