As a student of IBS (Irritating Bowel Syndrom) as it should be called. WHAT A JOKE. They told me it would take me less than 6 months to take both classes (skin/nails) enrolled me and it took me over TWO YEARS to complete. They take your money, and dont teach you anything of what is current in beauty. Not allowed to use all the newest gel tech in nail class. The other thing is the services. They dont get enough business to get you to graduate, the smart students book own appts with friends and family because you cannot rely on the staff to fill your books. Im not sure if this is a product of the school being newer to the area or not....
The instructor in nails plays favorites, so if your smart you better start kissing butt to her ASAP or your done. Dont be fooled by her beauty, the inside is nasty. She will belittle you in front of clients and your friends, family and peers. Never anything good to say, also make sure she has marked your services. I know I had to redo services that already I had done. KEEP GOOD RECORDS!!!! I watched many student quit the dream of nails because of her. I wanted to quit too, but I knew that would do me no good and she wouldnt care less. She's too busy reminding everyone she is the authority figure down there.
The admin staff was helpful, smart and friendly. The owner doesnt know anything either, he is taking the courses WITH THE STUDENTS!!!!!!!!! It sounds like beauty schools everywhere have this drama issue. The department of education needs to be checking into these places. I know many other students at other schools, same drama.
Now when it comes to services: Its a very CLEAN environment, much cleaner than salons I have been to. Sanitazation is PRIME AND ITS SUPER SAFE. You know they are students, and you cant beat the prices! Since this is a course not based on hours, based on services, they need you to help. I never had a bad service there. I did get a cut, nails and pedicures. No issues. The students are smiley, most of them are young
