IHOP

It seems Portage had every other restaurant, but no IHOP! I am a pancake and breakfast food lover. So, I was very excited when they finally opened up one in our town. The first time we went here it was VERY crowded and we had to wait a long time. But, the last few times we've went there was very little wait. The food has always been excellent and the service is generally really good. We went on my husband's birthday and told them it was his birthday. They brought him a little sundae for free and sang happy birthday, much to his embarrassment. more

I was excited when we got an IHOP around here, and I was eager to go in and try it out. The place was nice and clean, and we were seated right away. Our waitress took our order, and then didn't return for quite awhile. Behind us were two college age girls. Apparently, one of the waiters knew the girls. He stood behind us, talking with these girls very loudly the whole time we were in the restaurant. He was flirting with the girls and tried to get them to go out with him. Our waitress was no where to be seen, so we tried to get his attention to help us, but he too busy trying to get a date to help us. When our waitress finally arrived with our order, I asked if the waiter was working or on break. She told me that he was working, but he worked on the other side of the restaurant, so that was why he didn't help us. Our food was pretty good, but it was kind of cold when it arrived. I will give this restaurant another chance, and hopefully we will get better service next time. more
