I hired this one-woman company to slipcover a huge old custom-made sofa & matching chair over a year ago & am THRILLED with what she did. These aren't your pre-made crummy slipcovers, they're works of art. Truly. She lined the skirts, she added zippers so they're easy to remove, and velcro covers to hide the zippers, and she added piping to define the shape of the old cushions - she even pre-washed the fabric for me so that it would be pre-shrunk. This sofa is a behemoth - 102"" of Danish modern, and has eight cushions - and she did it all in three days. I am still in awe of her!!!\r
I've been living on this now-fabulous furniture for a year now, and have washed the slipcovers several times - there are no fraying edges, no popped seams. The woman is incredibly talented and loves what she does, and it shows. I recommended her to my daughter, if that tells you how impressed & pleased I am with her work! (and Mama sewed, so I'm very critical!)\r
If you are considering slipcovers you should call her & hire her right this minute. You won't be sorry!
Pros: Fast, a perfectionist, so knowledgable, just perfect.
Cons: Not a one - she's wonderful.
