Moving from one county to another while managing same day settlements was headache enough without trying to move ourselves. In the past we had always had the DIY mindset and plenty of strong backs to help. But you get to a certain age and you realize that not only are you getting too old to do this any more, but so are most of your friends! We received estimates from three companies, and Hughes came in at the lowest. They also guaranteed our price (which the other companies were not willing to do). We did our own packing. They sent a crew of four men, who showed up on time, moved our ten room house on to the truck in about five hours and were friendly and courteous. They also packed our Tempur-Pedic mattress to our specifications and moved a slate-top pool table and treadmill with no complaining. They arrived at the new house the next morning on time, and managed to park the moving van on a narrow, curved road in front of our new house. They unloaded everything, double checking each item against the inventory list. The crew was just great, at both houses. Michelle was very professional to deal with on the phone. Brian, our estimator, was spot on in his knowledge and ability to communicate what was expected of us and what the company would be responsible for. We hope to not have to move again for a long time, but if we do, I plan to use Hughes Moving and Relocation Services again. more

Outstanding moving company! Excellent all around, from the gentleman who did our estimate, to the move coordinator, and the movers themselves. Worked efficiently on all 3 days of our move and were done super quickly. Packed our belongings and nothing was broken, even our fine crystal and stemware. Received several calls through the process from the move coordinator to make sure things were going well. Will only be using Hughes Relocation from now on for any other moves that may come up! Moving is a very stressful event, be it personal or for business. Over the past few months our business carefully planned and prepared for the move to our new headquarters. We interviewed 3 different moving companies and chose Hughes over the other 2. We had also used Hughes almost seven years ago when we relocated our office from North Wales to Horsham. By far this was the easiest part of the entire move and one of the best decisions we made. From start to finish I can't say enough good things about this experience. Colin and crew arrived at our old location right on schedule and immediately did a walk through to survey the area. Within moments the crew went into action and started to load the truck. Everyone involved was careful, very polite and couldn't do enough for us. Everything arrived in perfect condition and was carefully placed in the proper areas.The empty truck pulled out of the parking lot of our new office at approximately 1:30pm beating the original estimate of 7 hours. Hopefully we will not be moving for another 5 years or so, but if and when we do, I will be calling Hughes Relocation Service. Pros: Too many pros to list Cons: None more

Received exceptional customer service. Not once or twice, but in every contact with the organization. From my first meeting with John, through multiple contract tweaks with Michele and Marianne, and finally with Muge, who expedited a re-assembly of my piano after a problem was left by the movers. Without fail, everyone was responsive, professional and a pleasure to work with. Following the December snowstorm, John responded to a Sunday morning call immediately to answer my concerns with pick-up scheduled for the next day. Having moved well ahead of my belongings, this move could easily have been a major headache. Instead, it went as smoothly as I could possibly have hoped for. Hughes Relocation Service made moving stress free. I had such a great experience with them from start to finish. They were on time, efficient and moved everything with great speed and care. From my initial call to the coordinator to the crew on the job, everyone was courteous and concerned about my satisfaction. The move went extremely smooth and although I hate moving they made it that much easier. I would definitely use them for my next move and highly recommend others to use them too! We recently moved across town using Hughes Relocation Service, and they were professional from beginning to end. I initially met with someone who gave me an estimate, and plenty of advice on how to pack and what to move ourselves. He gave me all the details about insurance, etc. We were assigned a coordinator who dealt with all the details of the move. I dealt with her almost entirely by email and she was able to answer all my questions. I didn't even have to call to confirm in the days leading up to the move -- she called me. We were assigned four movers for a two day move (one day moving out, one day moving in). They worked hard and were able to complete the move in a shorter time priod than estimated. (I should note that I also took the advice of the estimator and moved many boxes to the first floor to save them some time.) Our move included a piano, which was well-taken care of by the movers. I was concerned about not using a specialized service, but it worked out just fine. At this point, we have unpacked almost everything and so far, it appears that nothing was broken in the move. There was one bookshelf that broke before it got on the truck, but quite frankly, I expected that because the bookshelf was already falling apart and I don't think you could have moved it across the room without it breaking. Overall, I would give this company five stars and I definitely recommend them for your move. This was probably the smoothest move we have had. Pros: Reliable, honest, and careful Cons: N/A more
