We stopped in on a Friday around 1. Howards was not busy; there were 2 or 3 other customers. The owner (?) was a friendly woman who saw our interest in the family photos on the wall and commented on some of them. Between us we got an omelette and sausage which were "OK" and a catfish dinner which was out of this world good. The sweet potatoes were syrupy and hot, the greens were delicious and not too salty. The corn bread was dry and tasteless. The catfish was a huge piece, fried to absolute perfection with a wonderful cornmeal coating. It was so huge she put it on a side plate. The meal was not expensive and we would go back (this time he'd get fish too, I think!)
Pros: Great fried fish, friendly atmosphere
Cons: didn't see any parking.
