Good Books 8/19/2005

I didn’t even realize this was the name of this place, since I think of it as the book store with the “good” sign in the front. It’s one of the places I go when I’m searching for a used book. The prices are pretty good there. Things are pretty cramped in there, but it’s worth searching for any books you’re on the look out for. more

Quality, service, and books! 8/13/2005

Howard's Books is within blocks of Northwestern University and downtown Evanston, but people don't seem to know about it because it's a little secluded. The store offers great prices, though, and often has discounts for students. Their selection is constantly changing, and it's hard to leave without making a purchase. The man behind the counter is also very nice and helpful. more

Good Selection & Prices 8/8/2005

Howard's books is a rather small bookstore located near the campus of Northwestern University. For its size, it manages to keep a pretty fresh stock of books onhand, especially when it comes to reference books, although many of the books are old or used. The great thing about this shop is that all the books are discounted each month based on when they came into the shop, so if you wait a little longer for a book, you can get a better price. more
