While the waits are long, and the place is noisy, this place has the best ribs and steaks I have seen in Miami. One of my favorites, although it is pretty expensive. more

Houston's isn't bad. But the wait is always long. The food is above average but not cheap. The sushi is not very impressive. Service is generally good but there is nothing about this place that makes me want to wait an hour to eat here. more

Good food. It is expensive here but worth going to once in a while. If you aren't happy with the food, the manager will always try to make you happy by bringing you another item. Some people complained about their burgers and steaks not being anything great or not having a lot of flavor-----try ordering something vegetarian and you will feel differently--the animals will appreciate it also. Houston's has the best vegetable plate with a lot of sides---there is always food to take home because they give you so much. Also, the vegetable burger is amazing--tons of flavor. Also, very good key lime pie. The staff is friendly and yes, they seem to want you to leave once you finish eating---I guess I somewhat understand. There are not a lot of tables and---they are there to earn a living so we just leave after we finish eating. Also, Houston's filters the water that they serve which you cannot find at most places. You can order really healthy food here without the hidden fats and oils that most places have. Expect to spend at least $20/person. more

Good Fresh Food 4/9/2011

First, this review is for No. Miami Beach, not Coral Gables. The view is so lovely, especially at sunset. Along with delicious salads and some tasty fish dishes, this is a perfect spot to just relax and enjoy the scenery. Waitresses are well trained and friendly. Bartenders make some great cosmopolitans. Some dishes are better than others, but overall the food is very good. more

Overrated, overpriced 4/25/2010

This was my first time going to this chain. The one in Coral Gables is nice, but in the end it's just too expensive for totally mediocre food. I had a chicken dish that was simply overcooked; the chicken was completely dry and devoid of any flavor. I won't be going back again. I love the spinach dip, the smoked salmon, the Prime rib and the vegetable plate! Everything on the menu is fresh and delish! There is always a long wait for dinner and the bar is always crowded.. Pros: Food and after-work bar scene Cons: long waiting time more

Wow i absolutely love hustons! i love their stake and ribs and especially their key lime pie. the waiters were excellent they were always there when we needed them.the bad thing is that they dont take reservations and there is a wait. Although the hustons restaurant in north miami beach is not even close to as good as the one in coral gables! Try hustons its absolutely excellent! Yummy, One of my faves 11/23/2008

My friends and I LOVE to eat at Houston's. I can't give it 5 stars because I think they need to change their menu every once in a while...as long as my favorites (Baby back ribs, Houston salad, Char-Grilled Burger) stay on the menu. The service is great, the food is well-prepared and served hot, but I do agree that more items to delicious items to choose from is a great idea. Pros: great food Cons: wait time, no reservations allowed, you can't sit more than 6 to a table more

If you've been to one before you know what to expect. I think the food is really good although a bit overpriced as are the drinks. The service is of course wonderful and there are tons of people running around if you can't find your server. They don't take reservations and the wait is ridiculous any hour on any day. But, it's definitely a place to be seen at happy hour. more

my girl friend had her phone stolen by the parking lot girl who was driving the golf carts watch out for this place im still waiting to see if they refund the 200 dollars for a relacement the manager was profesional in taking the info still waiting for the results just wach your hand bags around the help ..i think the crowds are just too much for me thats why i refused to go with her when it happened... wish i had Pros: to bee seen by other no-lifers Cons: crowds of pusshy no-lifers with too much money and no social concience more

Chicken Sandwich :( 4/15/2008

I always loved the Biltmore Chicken Sandwich. They took it away and replaced it with a Rotisserie Chicken Sandwich, which is horrible! I know what you're thinking, "it's rotisserie chicken, how could that make such a big difference?" Well, it's something about the flavor that just doesn't work in the sandwich, it's awful! It's a shame because I live down the street and love their caesar salad and now there are no entrees I eat! (not to mention they won't do take-out) Houston's: Please, please bring the Biltmore back! I WENT THERE TWO TIMES AND THE IMPRESSION WAS THE SAME. ONLY A FASHION PLACE. THE PLACE IS BEAUTIFUL BUT VERY NOISY, CUSTOMERS PRATICALLY EAT AT THE SAME TABLE, THE SERVICE IS VERY SLOW AND THE MENU SELECTION IS VERY POOR... LIKE THE FOOD. Great Food and Good Ambience 2/7/2006

I love this restaurant...I have never had a bad experience here. You will have to wait to eat...but it is worth it. I recommend the smoked salmon or spinach dip appetizer with a bottle of Rombauer Chardonnay...it is sssoo good! The steak here is always delicious as well as any of their other entrees. I was introduced to Houstons as a fluke one night in Miami. Since then, I have actually flown to Miami to catch a flight home, just to have dinner there. I have yet to find anything wrong with the staff, service and quality, and believe me, I have tried. The best of the best........Hats off to Houstons. The Spinach Dip and the Ribs are excellent here! this is a must try for those who love ribs. you can almost compare it with the ribs in Flannigan's (which are my favorite).The staff had a good attitude and we did not wait long to be seated. We were satisfied. more

I love this place 6/30/2005

I go to Houstons about 2-3 times a week. My boyfriend and I are very well known in this restaurant due to our frequency. I love the porkchops with the baked potato. Its amazing. Their spinach dip is to die for, thats my favorite dish. Sometimes we get to the restaurant and since we know almost every waitress they know that once we sit we requesat some spinach dip. Its like family there. I highly recommend this place. more
