Service Call 7/23/2010

Good: Technician was prompt & courteous.. Bad: Tech didn't communicate well with us. Didn't do everything we asked. Wanted outdoor unit turned 1/4 turn on it's pad & wanted furnace serviced as well...he did neither & didn't offer to follow up at another time. When the unit was being charged with refrigerant, he sat in his truck rather than using the time more productively, time we paid for! I e-mailed Honke with my concerns, but received no response whatso ever & it's been several weeks since the e-mail was sent!. Improvements: Tech to be better trained in customer service & communication. Needs to learn how to suggest additional work & services. I was an HVAC dispatcher for 10 years & all techs were required to do "suggestive" selling. A follow up call from the service manager or company CSR would provide good feedback from customers as to customer satisfaction (or lack thereof).. Other: We will not call Honke Heating again for service on either our heating or air conditioning systems, nor will be look to Honke for bids on new or replacement equipment. In addition, if anyone asks us for recommendations for HVAC needs, we will not suggest Honke Heating.. more

They never return calls! 5/9/2007

I have called Honke Heating three times with a question about the services for which I am being billed. The office staff always abruptly say that only the service technician can answer my questions and he will call me back. He never has. Then I called and asked to speak to the general manager or owner. Again, the office staff talk to me like I am a twit because I do have an intimate knowledge of the inner workings of the Honke Heating office. I was put on hold three times, waiting, and then they said they will have to take a message. I asked to have him call me back. He never has. Now I get a "past due" bill in the mail. I am being billed for a service that was not completed and they will not answer my questions. That is not fast and friendly customer service! more

Real Customer Service 12/28/2005

We continuously see the Honke Heating van at neighbors’ houses around town and know that we are not the only ones who appreciate their quality business. When you buy a major product with them, you work directly with the owner, Mr. Honke himself. With each interaction you can appreciate that he values running a good business. They do a thorough job with installation and follow up. They only offer a selection of brands, so you might still want to shop around if they don't have what you need. more

Honest Service 12/15/2005

This is a family owned and operated business that has served the community for over 30 years. They are very accurate, can fix any heating and cooling system and have very fair prices. They can usually make a service call within 24 hours and they will do weekend and emergency calls. They are always close to their estimate. more

Fast and Friendly 10/5/2005

When we needed to have our furnace repaired we called Honke Heating. Even though it was winter they came right out. The repairman was fast and friendly and was considerate about not leaving a mess on the floor. He did not try and sell us parts or additional items we did not need. We will definitely call Honke again. more
