“Jump to Conclusions Automotive” I described the problem my car was having and before looking at, test driving or listening to the vehicle I was told it needed new front brakes, which by the way was wholly incorrect. I think I saw a Ouija board used to troubleshoot difficult vehicles. Avoid at all costs or at the least get a second opinion more

I would give this establishment zero stars if I could, unfortunately I cannot. I can only plead for people to GO GET THEIR REPAIRS DONE SOMEWHERE OTHER THAN THIS PLACE. They take advantage of people, and do not use good parts for repairs. Here are two examples.\r \r 1. I took my car here from 2011-2012 for various repairs. The only reason I stopped going (at that point) was because I moved and it was an inconvenience to drive that far. I have taken my car in to a different mechanic since and I am now fixing all the problems that they caused in the first place. I got a timing belt done here in 2011 which they charged me approximately $700. After this I had to take it back a handful more times because oil was leaking from my vehicle and every time they replaced a different gasket or seal to fix the problem. The problem was never fixed. Just after 2 years, I did a dye test at the new mechanic (which was never offered to me at this location in which dye is put into your car to see exactly where the oil leak is coming from) and it turns out the leaks were coming from everywhere! All the parts had failed and I had to have an entirely new timing belt put in along with all the seals. Because they only have a one year warranty on their parts, there was nothing I could do and no refund was given. \r \r 2. Another time I took my car in (2011 again) and they said I needed to replace the spark plugs in my car. Since I did not remember having that done I agreed and the spark plugs were replaced. I had an oil change the other day and my new mechanic says I need new spark plugs. After I told him I just got them done in 2011, he looked confused and proceeded to actually remove one and see if they were OE or not. Low and behold the mechanics from this store PUT IN THE WRONG TYPE OF SPARK PLUGS FOR MY VEHICLE. I have a Honda and they put in spark plugs for a Ford. When I went back to look at my receipt they only changed 1 spark plug (out of 4) and charged me $44.00 in labor. The new mechanic quoted me $56 to removed and replace all 4! Again, it is after the warranty period and nothing I could do to get my money back. Although if they offered to fix the problem for free there is no way I would ever come back here. \r \r I'm sure in the months and years to come I will find more problems that need to be fixed from the individuals at this garage. They do not know what they are doing, and if they do know, it means they are just taking advantage of everyday people and charging them as much money as they possibly can. Despite their name, this business is anything but ""honest."" more

My experience with these guys was ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. I was interested in buying a used car, and brought in a Jeep Grand Cherokee for a pre-purchase inspection. Previously, at other mechanics, and with other vehicles, I had pre-purchase inspections done, and they took about an hour and a half. These guys were done in 45 minutes, and told me there was a minor repair that needed to be done, and everything else was in good shape. Well, three weeks later, I suspected something was wrong, and took the Jeep to another mechanic, who told me the rear differential and possibly the axle needs to be replaced, at a cost of $1500. They determined this very easily, by simply taking the plug out and examining the fluid. It's obvious that the mechanic at Honest-1 never did this. When I subsequently called Honest-1 to talk to them about this, they claimed they couldn't have known anything was wrong with the rear differential without it ""making noise or something else to indicate something wrong"". This is crap. A full vehicle inspection means a full vehicle inspection, and one of the easiest things to do is check all the fluids to determine a problem. What's worse, they refused to even refund me the inspection fee, and the individual I was speaking with on the phone became hostile and hung up. YOU COULDN'T PAY ME TO GO HERE AGAIN. THEY DO EXTREMELY DISHONEST BUSINESS. I hope they are put out of business and vanish from 82nd St. entirely. more

I just had a great experience at Honest-1 auto care on 82nd. I needed them to check out a used truck I wanted to buy, and they went way out of their way to help me and gave me a great price to boot. I will go back here for more service on my truck. more

this business is pretty good when it comes to fixing my car.they always fit me in pretty soon and they always made sure that the work was done well. their prices are good and they always check everything.their customer service is good and they always follow up on promises. more

I'm usually a bit wary of any business that calls themselves "Honest," but in this case, I think they actually live up the motto. The service seems quick and you don't get overcharged. more
