Good: The 2 workers were polite.. Bad: Both doors had large air gaps open to the outside. After complaining to the office the same workers returned the following day. The result of the adjustment was as follows:
One door resulted in a split in the door frame, which WE had to fill with wood putty prior to painting.
The second door is now difficult to close because foam cord was inserted behind the door seals to attempt to close the air gaps. Shimming was impossible since glue had dried. One door was installed with 4 preexisting dents.. Improvements: Some type of management supervision, or company follow-up to customer complaints.. Other: If Hometown Contractors we worried about their their reputation they would have contacted me concerning the complaints in my company feedback form - weeks later and nothing heard from them. They charge top dollar, $1700+ for 2 doors, for poor service and workmanship.
I do not recommend Hometown Contractors to any prospective customers..
