We frequently shop at Home Depot. We are avid home improvers. Recently we have had numerous Home Depots be built within a 20 mile radius of our home. We have four to chose from now. The on located in the Target shopping center in Riverbank, is very nice, but the service is not the best. On a particular day, we used self check out. This was during the week, so the store was not busy. The person running the self check out, did not have her stuff together, nor did she have any idea of what she was doing. We waited for over ten minutes with our station saying "Please wait for assistance." We even mentioned it to her a few times, and she just stayed on the phone, and did other things. Really, service is the key, so I think that we may be shopping at one of the other four in our area.
