Before we found Holiday Farms we always left our dogs in caged boarding places where we paid for Play Time. Every time I picked up my Poodle I asked him did you get your play time? Well why we were traveling in Europe Sonny died while in the care of my son. We were of course heart broken and waited almost a year before we found a breeder of Standard Poodles in Boerne TX. We called the owner and Get this we had to be interviewed before she would sell us a puppy. Marilyn wanted mto be sure that we would take mgood care of her pups. At any rate we Passed the test and selected a wonderful Puppy that we named Lulubella. She is today still the light of our lives at almost 14 years old. We would never think of leaving this beloved member of our family any other place. \r In her old age we can not take her to the vet becasue she has seizures whne we enter the door, so the vetr come out to our care to examine Lulu and give all her shots there.\r In the past we had her groomed by professionals but she is not able to take the stress of the grooming anymore, SO i do the grooming myself. At Holiday Farm Lulu is always Happy to go there and she loves Maeilyn her ""Grandmother"". We are often gone for weeks at a time but we know that our Lulu will be safe surrounded by the loving attention of the staff at Holiday Farms. We know because of her age that on our frequent trips Lulu may not be there when we return. We have given Marilyn instructions should it be necessar that LULU is t be creamated. THis is a loving place to leave you loved pets where they will receive loving care we would not leave our Love anyplace else. \r When we come back from a trip it is always great to be reunited to Her but when we get home She sleeps for days recovering from the fun she had at Holiday Farms. Whne this Loved member of our family dies we will be looking for the opportunity to purchase another Standard Poodle from Marilyn but we hope that Lulu will live many more years.\r Holiday Farms A great place to board your pets where they will recieve love from all those connected to the Place.\r \r WARNING: Someone is heart broken at the loss of a pet but I have lost many wonderful pets, just like people animals die and age is not always a factor. However, to seek to harm a wonder place ,Like Holiday Farms is to say the least reprehensible. Get over it and find another pet to love. You will be a better person for it. God Bless You who ever you are. more

personally would not board my dog at this place. My advice to anyone planning on boarding their dogs at this place is to call the local veterinarians and ask them what they think. They can tell you if they would board their dogs at this place or not. Also just to note when looking for a dog kennel is that there is no regulatory agency in the state of Texas to hold kennels up to any kind of standard. So for instance if a person does not provide an air conditioned area for a dog to go to when it's over 100 during the day or a heated area when there is freezing temperatures, there is no oversight agency to complain to if your dog gets heatstroke or hypothermia. Call the local vets and if the owner won't let you fully inspect the facilities, move on. As a side note to the owner's post on this site, even if charges had been filed resulting in a final conviction, there is nothing that prevents the owner from continuing to run a boarding kennel. more

This is NOT the place you want to leave your pets!! If I could leave a negative of 5 stars I would!!! I dropped off a happy, alert dog and when I picked him up he was lethargic, stumbling around...totally disoriented! She said he'd been sleeping for 2.5 hours and not to be surprised if he slept for a couple of DAYS as dogs don't usually sleep well there. He slept for 15 hrs that night and was absolutely fine the next day. Good thing we picked him up when we did...he may have died under her ""care""! more

Holiday Farms is my Presley's home away from home. more

Holiday Farms has always taken excellent care of my dogs. 11/13/2011

I have used Holiday Farms for both my dogs for several years. This has included some short stays, as well as some extended stays. My dogs, Georgie and Ginger, always come home in great shape. But the thing that makes me know they are getting good care is that they are always VERY excited to go there. (Not like the vet, where I have to drag them through the door). They willingly jump out of the car, tails wagging and ready to play. The owner and her assistant, Romero, know the dogs by name and know their personalities. I will continue to use them for kennel services as long as I live in Boerne. more

Holiday Farms: A Great Place to Board Your Pet 8/3/2011

Holiday Farms is a beautiful pet boarding facility in Boerne. The owner and employees are very loving and caring with the animals they board. Any and ALL negative untrue comments towards Holiday Farms 4/21/2011

Holiday Farms is writing this in order to address the negative reviews being written by the same person using different names. After a complete and thorough investigation was done by the Distract Attorney of Kendall County in July of 2009... Holiday Farms Pet Boarding was NOT... repeat...NOT found to be responsible for the death of an older + extremely overweight Boxer named Bruno. Furthermore, we are deeply concerned and saddened @ anonymous and extreme behavior (via internet reviews) by his owner toward Holiday Farms. Any and ALL negative untrue comments towards Holiday Farms can be directly traced back to this one person. Holiday Farms is a beautiful lush boarding resort for your pets and has been since 1998. We look forward to seeing your pets for daycare + overnight boarding soon! more

Know what your pet is getting 4/9/2011

pictures on the website are great, open spaces with no concrete sounds great, but check out where your pet is at 24/7 at this kennel. If you don't have a problem with your pet staying in a fenced area with no shelter this is the place for you. I have seen pets in the open pens in storms, extreme heat, freezing temperatures, pouring rain. I know for a fact that pets have died, been hurt in fights in ""playtime"", and become seriously ill at this facility. You should know what your pet will be experiencing when you leave it here. more
