bad to best!! 7/11/2011

I have a puppy who was a stray. I called and visited the H.S.A.H. when he was 8 weeks old. I had had him for two weeks. at first the DR. and her assistant seemed unfriendly, and didn't include me in what they were doing with my pup, sort of rushing around doing tests and giving medicine. i was really displeased at the 20 plus dollar ear cleaning charge that inolved only a cotton ball with some solution on it that the majority of ended up on the floor. I was strongly considering finding a nother vet. but decided to go to the follow up visit. the experience was the complete opposite!! the staff were friendly comunicated well, and genuinely seemed to enjoy seeing my puppy. the same on the third visit. they are kind commited people and i believe the first visit was tense because they believed my puppy to be very ill, (parvo symptoms) and they may have been conserned i was an irresponsable pet owner. i had waited for the 8 week mark in age to bring him in, he could have gone in as soon as i got him. i was upset about the first bill and what seemed like add ons, but i think they were trying to do as much for him as they possibly could, worried i may not bring him back. since then, they have been willing to work with me on payments and again they are very kind people. i think the animals health is their number one priority.which is what I want in my vet. more

I HAD A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE HERE 12/29/2008

I had been going there for about six months and every time I showed up for a 'SCHEDULED' appt., I would wait for 30 minutes or more. It was my first dog so I didn't know then, but the costs are %15 higher than the Vet 1 mile away! The terrible incident I previously mentioned was when I went there with a very young puppy, just 4 weeks old. I had her on a leash b/c we were doing a test that needed to be done outside, Dr cohen grabbed the puppy aggressively and I trusted her professionalism until the dog screeched and tried to get away from her grasp. Despite the fact I had a leash on her, and repeatedly said "please let go, let go, let go!" she didn't and the dog got tangled up in its collar and choked. When I said "Ma'am, why didn't you let go when I asked you to?" she literally scoffed at me and said "Take your business elsewhere!" This was incredibly disturbing, I can't imagine what she does to animals behind closed doors! my name is Michael Murray and my dogs name was Sally more

Dr Cohen is great 12/5/2005

I have been taking my dogs to Dr Cohen for several years now and continue to be impressed. She is a very caring doctor. The staff is very friendly and I have never had a problem getting an appointment no matter how short notice I give them. The fees are very reasonable. They also offer boarding which I have used several times and have not have had any problems. They are open at all hours of the day (take some time off :) and Saturdays too. I highly recommend them. more
