I dropped off a suit to be dry cleaned. They said I could pick it up the next day. I came the next day and they said it wasn't ready. I was a little annoyed, but then I returned the day after that only to find a HUGE burn mark on the side of my pants. The people behind the counter refused to acknowledge their mistake AND refused to let me take my clothes UNLESS I paid the full cost of cleaning. Pay for cleaning when they messed up my pants? When they should be PAYING for the pants? Ridiculous. They are terrible communicators and they charge more than any other dry cleaners that I know of. I gave my wedding dress to Heritage Cleaners to box and preserve in December of 2006. When I received it back in the box, it was ruined. It appears that a chemical was sprayed across the front of it that caused streaks. In addition, holes were found where specific parts of the dress were ""cleaned"". The owner had me give him my dress back so he could try and fix it, and I haven't seen it since.\r \r I have been trying to either receive my dress and/or reimbursement from the owner Ken Seo since the incident. He dodges my calls and is rarely at the cleaners location. He told me he made a claim with his insurance company (Hartford), but they have no record of it. I am currently trying to work with his insurance company directly to reach restitution on my claim. His insurance company is Tri-City Insurance Agency with Hartford insurance. Your wedding dress isn't worn much after the day you get married. However you might want it preserved for the possibility that your daughter might wear on her big day. I went to Heritage Cleaners because I have friends who use their services. I live closer to another dry cleaner but I went off of a recommendation. \r The dress wasn't even to be dry-cleaned. I just wanted it in a box, sealed up. That was in February, it is now April. Ken (the owner) and his staff have not found the dress or the box. My wife is devastated. I don't suppose they box items off-site, but if they do, Ken needed a picture of the dress so he could show it in all his stores. I appreciated that. Yet as time goes by, I'm definitely not a priority at Heritage. I?m just some guy who comes in once a week looking for my wife?s wedding dress, (which was her mother?s wedding dress) trying to find some closure. The customer service is poor and non existent. Ken did asked me what the dress is worth. We don?t have a receipt. Nobody does. All I have is the pink carbon copy slip Heritage issued me. \r It's worth a lot more than money. more
