I lived on Bandera for so many years and I FINALLY decided to try Henry's Puffy Taco just last week on a whim; after all, I pass it like everyday going to work. Anyways, I really enjoyed the experience (especially the puffy tacos) and the ambiance. The prices weren't too bad and there was no wait. I highly recommend Henry's for anyone longing for a bit of Texas flavor. Four stars. more

Henry’s Puffy Tacos is a very affordable restaurant. Although inexpensive, the food is far from cheap. They have a variety of menu items ranging from fajitas, to tacos and enchiladas. The wait staff is friendly, and my beverage is never empty. Make sure you leave a nice tip, the quality of food and service is WELL worth it. more

Henry's is an icon of San Antonio 8/5/2005

Henry’s Puffy Taco is as part of San Antonio as much as the Alamo is! I think that everyone who has lived in San Antonio for at least six months has eaten here. This place has some really tasty food. Everyone should try the puffy tacos of course. The service is good and so are the prices. more

Great tex-mex food 8/3/2005

Henry’s Puffy Taco has been in business for a long time. If you ever eat there, you’ll understand why. They have great food. The cheese enchiladas is my favorite dish there. The margaritas are delicious. It is a good place to get together in large crowds. It is kid-friendly. The price is reasonable. Sometimes there can be a long wait. more
