Henborgs Ice Cream & Food

Henborg's is an Ice Cream shop with a walk up window and a dozen stools at a counter inside. They have rich and creamy Richardson's Ice Cream and Frozen Yogurt, Soft Serve and Slush. They also offer a variety of excellent home made food. Daily selections include breakfast sandwichs (available all day), subs and wraps. Recent daily specials have included Macaroni and Cheese, American Chop Suey, Potato Salad (the best I have ever had), Chili and more. In the fall they have an awsome turkey dinner sub. The resturant is spotless and run by the nicest people. I eat at Henborg's at least once a week. They open in late March and close before Christmas each year. I love this place!! They have the best ice cream around, in my opinion. It is from a local dairy called Richardson's. Also--the food is homemade, fresh, inexpensive, and very very good also. (it is super-clean--the place is immaculate.) Great customer service from the staff too. \r \r It is right next to the Nunan's Garden center / nursery off rt 133 in Georgetown, MA (not too far from 95)\r \r I would say, if you are 1) going to be anywhere near georgetown, ma, 2) like ice cream or are hungry for food and/or 3) like to support local farmers and small family-run business with good customer service and work-ethic-- it is good to check this place out. I recommend the meatballs, as well as the frappes, and BLT. \r \r Nunan's is great too-awesome selection of beautiful plants, caring knowledgeable staff Pros: every flavor ice cream imaginable, very clean place, food is delicious, ice cream excellent Cons: I wish they were open year-round, but they are there all summer! more
