Knowledgeable staff, great selection, comparable prices. The guys running this nursery know plants, and their stock is always orderly and healthy. There are lots of nurseries out there where you will get overly simplified advice, plants that have not been treated to professional care and maintenance, and even a plant selection that includes plants registered on the USDA invasive plant lists. Head-Lee offers the best advice, especially if you talk to one of the brothers running the place, the plants have been properly pruned and up-potted as needed, and the plant selection is trustworthy. This is one of three nurseries in the Greenville-area that I consider reliable. more

pretty nice place 12/3/2010

The nursery is very pretty. The staff seems knowledgeable and helpful. One staff member in particular is pretty egotistical and believes he knows it all. I don't know if he is the owner but he's pretty hard to take! When I go back, I'll try to avoid him! The prices are a little high but the quality is good so I'll return. more

If there ever was a Heaven on Earth, it is Head-Lee Nursery! If they don't have it in their posession, then they can get it, or you don't need it. I was searching online for several months for an unusual plant and Head-Lee was the only place who could find it for me. Their service and advice are very helpful and their plants are twice the size as other garden centers. I've found cheaper prices elsewhere, but Head-Lee's quality and selection are worth every extra cent. I drive an hour (one way) just to shop at Head-Lee. Pros: selection, quality, advice Cons: not for bargain hunters more

There's no contest as to who's the best - - - Pros: Head-Lee is place for quality. Cons: none that I know of more

The staff is very friendly and helpful. All the plants/shrubs/trees purchased from this place has always been healthy and survived. Always helpful in answering any questions regarding the care of your purchase. more

nursery 11/3/2005

We usually go to head lee nursery to get our hanging baskets for the season. They are very helpful in finding exactly what you want but I have had a few plants die from there about a week after getting them. I usually don't have time to go back and keep exchanging for live ones. more

Helpful, friendly staff 11/2/2005

Having just moved to a new home, we needed to redo all the landscaping. The staff at Head-Lee Nursery were very knowledgeable and helpful and we were able to buy everything we needed right there on their massive lot. The prices were reasonable too. more

Large Nursery 7/27/2005

Head Lee Nursery is a great huge nursery located just outside of Seneca. It has a very convenient location. They have a lot of space and probably carry anything you might be looking for. Their summer hours are pretty lousy. They are only open 8-5 M-F so if you work you cannot even go. I do like this nursery a lot, but don't get to visit it during the summer. more
