I called Hay's heating and air-conditioning after discovering that my heat was not working properly. I was able to make an appointment for a technician to come out within just a couple hours to my house. The technician called 20 minutes before arrival to make sure I was at home. When he showed up he had a smile on his face and a presentable clean uniform. He removed his shoes before entering my home. After investigating my system he gave me a couple options of replacing a part or replacing my system. Since I had an older system and was looking for a more environmentally friendly system he gave me three options of systems to choose from. He was very attentive to my request and needs for this new system and answered all of my questions there on the spot. I told him I needed to speak with my husband that night, he was very respectful of this decision and let me know that he would call me in the morning. The next morning he called just as he said he would and we were able to set up an appointment for that day to install my new system. The technician from Hay's heating and air-conditioning went through everything with me to make sure that I knew everything there was to know about my new system and how to work it.\r Overall this was a great experience and I have recommended Hay's to my friends and family. All I can say is thank God for Hay's! I was having an issue with my air conditioning not cooling, so I called a local company out to fix my unit. After the tech was here for 10 min, I was told I needed a new unit and it would be around $7500.00 to replace. The tech said there was no way to fix the unit. After talking to a co-worker she recommended Hay's to get a second opinion. From the moment I called and spoke with the lady in the office it was a great experience. A tech for Hay's showed up that afternoon and looked at my unit, after 15 minutes he explained I needed 2 parts that would cost around 450.00. I was in shock, thinking I was told orginally from the other company I needed to replace the unit. The tech from Hay's explained he did not have one of the parts on his truck and would need to go get it and would be back in an hour. An hour later the tech is back and within 45 min my unit was cooling again!! My bill was around $624.00 vs the $7500.00 the first guy told me. I highly recommened this company to all my family and friends. more

Excellent service! Our compressor went out on our AC unit during the heat wave in early July. We called Hay's and they sent someone out within a couple of hours and had our unit fixed. Very professional and courteous. Would highly recommend and will definitely use their services again. more

Terrible, terrible service 8/10/2011

I had a problem with my air handler and asked Hay's to come over for an estimate. They came over and said he thought putting in a flap on the air handler would a/c the crawl space and cut down on condensation. Couple days later the tech came over and did some work while my wife was at home. When I inspected the work it didn't look like they had done anything. I called and asked about the work and she said the tech would call me. No call. I called back and same response. I've called 7 or 8 times, with no luck. Finally called and irately told them to send me a refund. That was about 3 weeks ago. No refund. If I have the time I might complain to the Better Business Bureau. more

Excellent Service for the Past 5 Years! 3/21/2011

My family and I have had excellent service from Hay's Heating for over 5 years. They provided a cost-competitve pricing and excellent annual maintenance support since the initial installation. I have recommended them to others with same postive results.\r \r We initially had a new Maytag HVAC from another NC HVAC company, and they illegally undersized the unit plus had other unresolved HVAC reliability issues. After I took my case to the NC Attorney General's Consumer Protection Unit, this company agreed on a full refund. Hays Heating came in and installed brand new Trane units with duct work in 2 days. They brought 5 trucks in at the same time and worked extremely efficiently to install the units ASAP (this was during winter). It was like a whole brigade arriving to rescue my family :-) They also found other problems with the previous installation (like the HEPA filter was not part of the air duct flow), which I forwarded to the AG's office, and were corrected by Hays. So yes, I highly recommend them since they stand by their work! more

Best Service I've Ever Received! 1/21/2011

Not sure about the other person's experience but mine was the complete opposite! Everyone I spoke to was very professional and helpful. The problem was taken care of quickly and I haven't had any problems since. I would recommend them and will use them again myself when necessary! :) more

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE 9/20/2010

If you have an option in using a different Heating & Air Co. please don't use Hay's Heating & Air Co. Customer Service is Terrible. They don't call you bad. They lie about the charges when they come out and service your unit! more
