I wholeheartedly recommend Dr Hastik, whom I have known for ten years. During that time she has twice figured out the right medication for ending my serious depression. I was happily on one medication for several years, and when that stopped working she replaced it with another med that did work. Knowing others' experiences with medication. With me she has supported the most minimal use of meds, and that has also occurred with others I know who are her patient. Our checkin sessions have always been on time, not rushed, and very motivating to me. She has responded within hours to any emergency call. I feel blessed to have a doctor that is so knowledgable and caring. more

Dr. Hastik is my daughter's patient. She doesn't return urgent calls, and pumps her up with medicine. That is all this doctor is about. Plus she doesn't follow up when things are an emergency. I had to place three calls to her before I heard back. She always seems busy and rushing and you feel like your just another billable hour. I plan taking my daughter somewhere else in the near future. I am worried that this drugs are making her feel worse. more

Dr. Hastik has been integral in helping my son's ADHD issues (I am sorry but I am not using my or my son's real name for privacy issues.) She is incredibly thoughtful and patient, and seems to have an unusually high grasp on various treatment options available for this condition. Plus she has been really good with getting John to open up about his condition. BTW, she was recommended to me by a professor at UCSF who was one of her clinical supervisors during her residency there. To me, recommendations are everything -- even more than these posts. This is without a doubt, the reason we decided to send John to her. more
