Best

They have the best and biggest pizza in town.

Worst

This is the slowest restaurant in town. If you want good service - don't come here. The food is descent - not the best. Although Peru doesn't have a lot to offer.

Food isn't worth the HIGH Prices 10/21/2011

Good: Not much..... Bad: Service was not that great, waitress didn't not even bother getting drinks to the table in time for the meal. Meal was almost gone by the time drinks were served.. Improvements: The quality of food is NOT good. Using fresh ingredients or ingredients that are sources locally and made fresh, like fresh made daily crusts, fresh home made sauce with local ingredients. This is a OPEN marker for a competitor to swoop in and take over that niche.. Other: The quality of of the food does NOT warrant the high prices of the meals. You can't charge high prices for pizzas and food when the quality is poor.. more

Can You Really Fall In Love With Bread Sticks? 1/26/2011

I found Harvey Hinklemeyer's bread sticks in the mid '80's while living in Peru. We would visit Harvey's back when they were located across the bridge on the opposite side of town. We loved their pizzas but were totally crazy about their big, thick, glazed bread sticks and cheese sauce. I would take my girlfriend there after a football game, and my family would order "take-out" on the weekends. I used to visit the new Harvey's a few years ago before I relocated really far away from Peru, but my Mom was a big fan till the end! If I'm ever back in Peru, you can bet I'll order a sausage/mushroom/extra cheese and double order of bread sticks and cheese (before I go to the East End for a hot fudge sundae!) Take care! more

Employment 12/11/2008

It's a horible place to work. The manager, Nina, is an awful person and never cares about the people she works with. She fires people when it's not even her job. She yells at people for talking and working, but when a certain guy comes in she's stands all the way at the end of the bar to talk to him till he leaves. She's a horrible manager and she has no right to treat people the way she does. She fired me and I did nothing wrong! more

Great Family Restaurant 9/7/2005

Harvey's offers a varitey of food for all of your family to enjoy! They have anything from pizza to tenderlions. They also have wonderful nachos and thier milk shakes are great! Usually there is not much of a wait to get in but sometimes you might have to wait a few minutes. The people are friendly and the prices are very reasonable! more

A Touch of Nostalgia 6/20/2005

When you walk into Harvey Hinklemeyer's a touch of nostalgia surrounds the atmosphere. You enter into the fifties, with Coca-Cola, old hot-rod pictures and other pieces of the past. Harvey Hinklemeyers has "the best" pizza in town! The service is good and the prices are reasonable. A great place to take your family. more
