My mother had Heartland Mutual Insurance when I was a kid. So we went with them when my husband and I purchased our first house. We have had home insurance for almost 4 years. Since this spring, my roof has been leaking. They have been out 3 times. ""Roof looks fine, nothing is wrong with the roof, looks ok to me."" They have taken their pictures, detected moisture in the ceiling, and determined that nothing could be done. There are no singles missing, your roof is fine. How in the world is my roof fine when its LEAKING?!? Dont waste your time. Go through a user friendly company like USAA. Know your facts before you jump in. Shame on your Heartland. After countless years of business, and I have nothing but a leaking roof, and a soaking couch to show for all of the money i've given you.
