Entering Harry and Jean's, thoughts of a pleasant evening were high. The ambiance, though incredibly outdated, was fairly welcoming and had a charming classic appeal. That however this being the only positive I could take away from our experience. We arrived for dinner fairly early, around the five o'clock hour and the restaurant was an absolute wreck. The staff was hanging around the bar smoking, eating and joking around as we waited at the front door for someone to lead us toward our table. Ten minutes later we are seated in a dirty booth, with crumbs all of the table the seats and ground. The seats were sticky as if they had not been cleaned in days. A few more minutes went by before we were greeted by a sloppily dressed waiter who obviously was upset at the fact that we were there. After this I asked to speak with the manager, because we frequent many local restaurants and I wanted to speak with him about our concerns. He never showed his face. The food was average at best. The menu had a TGI Fridays feel with prices twice as expensive. I would not recommend Harry & Jean's to anyone I really cared for. I am unsure how they have ever passed a health inspection. Filthy
