I needed to have someone help with some small repairs to my home after a storm earlier this year, and after meeting Brian at a business networking group, I called Handyman Matters. The servicemen came out to look at the job, and showed me all the things they are able to do, the scope of which surprised me. They performed the few minor repairs, and then I had them pressure wash the deck, since they were already here. Working with Handyman Matters was painless. They showed up on time, and I was impressed with all the work they performed. They were very friendly and knowledgeable, and got everything done in a timely manner. Honestly, I think Handyman Matters can help save your marriage. There's always a "honey-do" list that's more important to you than it is to your husband. We have kids who play sports, and and are always busy with one thing or another. Some things just have to get done, and the guys from Handyman Matters are like second husbands that will do what you ask with a smile. They can tackle jobs of any size, and will even coordinate with other contractors if need be. Call Handyman Matters and watch your to-do list vanish. more

The first time I used Handyman Matters, I got great, prompt service from a skilled handyman. The second time I made an appointment, I requested the same handyman and was told he was no longer with the company. So they sent someone else, who wasn't able to finish the job because he needed more specialized tools. So we scheduled a second session - which he didn't make. He called 6 hours later and explained there had been an emergency, and could we please reschedule. So I called the office and rescheduled...and no one ever showed up, or called or anything. So I took off work for 3 separate days for nothing. Needless to say, I am not recommending this service. RESPONSE FROM Handyman Matters Inc: Dear Kathy, I am very sorry to hear that we let you down! I had a rotting wood surround and a "on-its-last-legs" screen door that needed to go. Rich came, he saw and he conquered. The front of my house looks amazing and it's all due to Rich's diligence in doing the job right. more

Turned out to be a very small job, but handyman did a nice job and apologized for having to charge me the minimum rate. I will call them again when needed. Much more satisfied than with the other Handyman service I had been using. more

I was very, very satisfied with the quality and timeliness of HandyMan Matters/Columbia (Daniel). I have used them for a different service before and was completely satisfied. The technician arrived on time, explain to me the process he would use and why, asked if I had any questions and proceeded to complete his work in a timely manner. No debris nor discarded materials were left at my property. I would higly recommend HandyMan Matters/Columbia and would use them again. more

I found out about Handyman Matters in the phone book. I called several places but Handyman Matters was the most responsive. They have done lots of little things around my house: they've fixed drains and doors, cleaned gutters, and fixed my electric switches. I live in an older home and I'm a senior citizen, but they were very accommodating regarding what they did to maintain my old house. I've been using them for at least three years. They're dependable and check in with you. If you have an appointment at 10 and they can't come in until 11, they'll call by 9:30. If they need to get a part that they don't have in their vehicle, they will go get it. Handyman Matters of Baltimore is not only dependable, but honest and straightforward. This is my experience with other people I've used: they sometimes did work that looked to be okay at the time but later, something went wrong. When I called them back, there was a big mishmash about it. Unlike these companies, Handyman Matters will fix the problem. All of their technicians have many years' experience and are capable and competent. They're very professional and know how to do their work. This is the same for the people in their office. If you have an emergency, they'll come immediately. I'm extremely satisfied with Handyman Matters! more

Quality of work done (by Jerry) was excellent. Only issue I had was no on-site estimate and therefore, number of hours estimated by phone was very different than actual hours required. more

We had two different workers here at two different times and were pleased with both. They were very polite and accomodating to us and completed their jobs extremely professionally. more
