This is a great local co-operative. It is a small store, but is filled with all of the essentials. The cheese is great, and a great price. 4 year aged Cheddar is the same price...

A Great Place! 9/29/2005

This is a great local co-operative. It is a small store, but is filled with all of the essentials. The cheese is great, and a great price. 4 year aged Cheddar is the same price as regular cheese at Cub. I second the previous poster's reccommendation of the bulk nuts and dried fruit. Also they will take your extra egg cartons. more

Nuts Galore. 8/20/2005

Get your nuts here. They have bins and bins of fresh refridgerated nuts from which to select...salted and unsalted varities alike. They also have a fabu selection of dried fruits and the like for snack foods...organic and otherwise. They also have a whole wall of bulk grains, noodles, etc....very impressive selection. The fresh vegetable selection leaves something to be desired...though there are good vegetables, there is not a lot of room for a wide variety. They now take credit cards as well. more

This is the real thing. Community Co-op 8/19/2005

This is what you think of when you imagine an old fashioned Co-op. Not the modern kind like Whole Foods. These guys still do mostly bulk products as well as some prepackaged stuff. They encourage membership which is the old kind where you actually have to work. They have a large selection of locally grown organic produce, even some frozen prepared foods. Bring your plastic and paper bags, 'cause they can always use them. Really nice co-op all around without the snobbery of uptown. more
