We found this place after reading a review from Munchmobile in the Ledger from a few years ago. The most unusual sandwiches with the best sauce on the side! Just love it here! Highly recommend for anyone who loves a good sandwich! more

GOT TO LOVE IT! 10/24/2007

Love this place... the X-sandwishes are the best... they just came out with other brazilian delights that put water in my mouth just thinking about... their new lasagnia is AMAZING... i dont know how they do it, but these brazilians have some awesome taste for food! BIG PLUS with the parking lot in front of them, you'll always find a parking spot, though u might not find a table on the weekend nights!... more

WONDERFUL 3/12/2007

I dream at night of these sandwiches! This place is a must see in the Ironbound section. The best is sitting outside at a sidewalk table during a spring or summer day, and watching the life pass by on Lafayette Street. Yes, parking is tight. Yes, it is Newark. Bur please take my advice. GO. This is a must-eat destination. more

Great place to go! 7/6/2006

Hamburgao Lunches not only offers a great variety of sandwiches, but also Brazilian pastries, salads, deserts, and their famous "Soup of the Day". They have opened up a new location in Kearny, NJ. There you'll find an even more pleasant place than Newark. Plus, there's a public parking lot right in front of it! It couldn't be any better... Brazilian sandwiches really are the best! So unexpected! 9/1/2005

This is one of those sandwich places that serves Portuguese lunches. I was amazed the first time that I went there. The selection is great, the prices reasonable, and the atmosphere pleasant. There were tons of interesting sandwhiches and a great selection of Portuguese pastries. Parking can be difficult but the unusual menu choices make it worth the trip. more
