HLC Med - Laser and Skin Care

I heard about HLC Med through Groupon. The spa had a great laser hair removal deal. The deal was a one year package for under a $1,000. The deal is significantly less than what it would have cost at other spas offering laser hair removal especially on black skin. I had extremely coarse hair on my chin and began to feel very uncomfortable in certain social situations because of it. Once I began the laser hair removal I felt my confidence increase. I have completed a year of treatments and I do not have hair on my face anymore. During my treatments, the staff was attentive, encouraging, and knowledgeable. I would wholeheartedly recommend HLC Med to everyone. more

Beware of the ""unlimited"" 1 year laser hair removal package. I went to HLC with a Groupon for $999 for what they called ""unlimited"" laser hair removal for 1 year. I read in the question/answer section that I could get up to 13 treatments. I scheduled all appointments through HLC with employees who knew what my package was and somehow they managed to put some of my appointments too close together to qualify for the 13th appointment. Apparently, if ANY of the appointments are less than 28 days apart, the 13th visit is not allowed. No one mentioned this at any time during the 11 months I was treated. more

I spent $225 on the Slimming wrap and Body Shaping (RF) which is normally over $700 that states ""You can lose inches immediately' and ""heating action that immediately tightens skin tissues and structures.' this 100% FALSE. I am thin person that was trying to get rid of that 'pouch' and 'love handles' so I could jump start my workout priior to Cancun. Complete waste of money, and All Sales Final. What does that tell you? Most places would stand behind their product or services, not this place. I tried working with them and they were not helpful, I received their voicemail most times. Buyer Beware! more

Body Contouring at HLC Med is SUCH a scam! I got fooled by them and went with my Groupon. It took forever because everyone kept chit-chatting instead of working - obviously they weren't busy. They put me in a heated sleeping bag and put a mask on my face. I never got a head massage and other things that the groupon promised. They didn't even clean of my face before putting on the mask. Sloppy workers - I asked for my $$ back. No wonder they keep trying to sell groupons and living social every couple of weeks... I doubt they have any customers. more

Getting the no needle filler treatments and I am loving them. The office is very clean, quiet, and relaxing. I am noticing quite a difference after just two treatments. The staff explains the treatment in detail so I knew what to expect. The treated area feels tighter and looks plumper, not stiff and unnatural, just better. I highly recommend it. more

I have loved all of my experiences over at HLC Med Peabody. I've been going there for about a year now for laser hair removal and I'm excited with my results! I have consistently seen Claudia, absolutely love her and feel so comfortable with her. I never had a reaction to the laser and am confident this girl is a reliable source as a technician. I also had a wonderful facial by Stephanie. She was such a professional and really new her stuff. I was totally relaxed and felt secure that she would take care of my skin. I will definitely be going back for my facial treatments with her! And when it comes to who runs the show, Andele is AMAZING! She really knows how to manage that business and keeps the place spotless. She's willing to work with you to fit your needs and that's why I believe so many people are enthusiastic about this place. They feel helped and respected and as though their concerns really matter! more

I have had 3 treatments so far, 2 for laser hair removal and 1 microdermabrasion treatment. All have been great! Claudia is so nice and makes you feel very comfortable. They're always offering current clients deals on future packages! Clean, professional, and plenty of free parking! more

I've been going to HLC Med in Peabody for about a year and absolutely love it. The office is beautiful and clean and filled with the most friendly and personable staff I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. I was skeptical to get the laser hair removal done because I have light hair and was told that the procedures typically don't work well for people with light hair and light skin. After completing 12 laser hair removal treatments, I am very happy with the results as I have had minimum regrowth. I had the same technician each time, Stephanie and she was amazing! I've heard horror stories from friends that have gone to other Med Spas and have had severe laser burns, different technicians each time, and are still paying a ton of money for the procedures. HLC is professional and consistent and the friendly technicians really put you at ease and make you feel comfortable. I would recommend HLC to EVERYONE! Every procedure I've got there (facials, laser hair removal, and Microdermabrasion ) have all been fantastic! The BEST spa around! more

Stephanie was great to work with. She was kind enough to give me a free treatment when the initial ones were not as effective as we would have hoped. As she said she would rather give a complimentary treatment than damage my skin with too harsh a treatment. more

I got my girlfriend 4 Infrared Wrap treatments. She loved every minute of each treatment she experienced.The build itself is super clean, and the service is great. Stephanie is a great host and a fun person to talk to. This place is a great place to relax. The prices are a little high, but if you get a package, the prices are less than 1/2 the original price. So I highly recommend getting a package of treatments. It's worth it. more

This was my first time using laser hair removal and I was very nervious about it. However, the staff made me feel very comfortable and was very accommodating. The procedure was quick and easy. Spotlessly clean with a tranquil atmosphere, this med-spa is constantly running some sort of promotion or sale and who doesn't like to save a buck, right? All the staff are super smiley and terminally polite. The aestheticians were always punctual and very accommodating in terms of scheduling. I got sick the day before one of my appointments and I called to cancel with less than 24 hours notice. The woman I spoke to was really sweet and understanding and did not charge me a booking fee for my last minute cancelation. The first two times I went to this spa I got a microdemabrasion. I forget the name of the woman who worked on me, but again, she was cloyingly sweet and she did a decent enough job. That said, she didn?t really tell me anything revolutionary about my skin in particular that I didn?t already know. I have suffered with acne and skin problems since my teens so I?m pretty well versed in all the latest products and procedures. I?m sort of the unofficial skin expert among my friends so when I find someone that can offer me new and/or novel diagnosis and advice on my present skin condition(s) I am all ears. For this type of information you want to see Stephanie. She?s sharp as a whip, and cut right to the crux of my present skin issue, which happens to be overloading on too much retinol causing my skin to thin out and discolor. Stephanie is great and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for product advice or an excellent treatment. Her bedside manner is honest and entertaining. You won?t be disappointed. more

I have been to HLC 3 times now and Im addicted. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. My last micro and pumkin mask was sunsational! I walked out feeling refreshed and beautiful. I would highly recommend Stephanie. She is very professional and made me feel comfortable asking me questions before and after about the service. She did magic to my face. Today my skin has a healthy glow and Ive received compliments. Stephanie was also sure to have me make another appointment. I have been to HLC Med in Peabody, MA five times and had great service everytime. I first bought a couple of deals online and was nervous as to what it would be like. Besides, I live in Boston and I thought it would be a trek. I was nicely surprised by the quality of work, the knowledgeable staff and the great service. I was a little anxious about the microdermabrasion treatment, so I asked a lot of questions and the staff member was able to answer them with ease and assure me it would be fine. It was more than fine, my skin felt super smooth afterwards and people even notice the glow. I continue to go there from Boston, which is by the way a simple 20 minute drive and well worth it. I have recently had a eye rejuvination treatment that rocked! I highly recommend this place. more

Since high school, I have had these horrid pot-marks on my face and I have tried everything to fix/hide these. After my second treatment at HLC MED Peabody, I began to notice a difference. After my fourth visit I was amazed. I have never felt better about my skin. I am so so so happy with the results, with the treatments (micro and various peels) and I have been especially happy with the service. Clinicians Rachel and Andel are absolutely the best.
