GROGANS LANDING SUCKS 11/1/2010

This is the worst experience of my life they are wanting to charge me for stuff that doesn't even pertain to me. The last month we lived there we had a hole in our roof because the water from th tub above us fell through. Mold was all over the entire apartment. The office people Dont write anything down which is why I am screwed on owing money. I owe $43.29 and they are going to send me to collections. When I lived with a hole in my roof and the carpet(the reason I owe the money) didn't even stand up when we moved in it looked like it was ten years old and they say it was on 4 years old. A dog obviously lived there before us because the whole apartment had stains on the carpet. I do not recommend this place to live even if its temporary. \r \r \r more

You can do better 5/24/2009

It's a mediocre apartment complex that takes advantage of the fact that it's located in The Woodlands to overcharge you on rent. That's to be expected, but the management company doesn't follow through on their part of the bargain. They refuse to do anything for residents. It's a shame because everyone that works on the property is great - they just have nobody with ethics behind them. If you're going to move in, make sure you see your actual apartment - they do a great job of making the buildings right around the office look good - the buildings in the back have no landscaping, sparse parking, and no attention. Pros: Great location Cons: Management company is a nightmare more

disaster 3/22/2009

I would look into other complexes before stopping at Grogan's Landing. There's coaches galore and I always kept my house very clean. I had my motorcycle stolen one night. It's was 830pm right in front of my apartment . They claimed there was nothing they could do about it, However It was never recovered. They're always cops patrolling by the place because of constant break in's. Although I felt unsafe they couldn't let me out of the lease reguadless and what had happened. Aldo when I was finally able to move out they said I had only paid 100 deposit WTF. I paid 350. Though it had been over a year I had lost my receipt. They knew what the were doing. Just keep driving. When you're looking for somwhere to live, Look for a safe place. Not this place unless you're ex- military and own a gun. Pros: none you can't get elsewhere Cons: the crime rate more

Not recommended 8/13/2008

Where to begin... My car got broken into in May. I went to the office to report it, and was informed there had been a string of break in attempts. Managements response is to send a letter to the tenants stating that they ""are doing everything they can"" to resolve the issue. To test this theory, I stayed up late one night and saw one security guard in six hours. The robberies have continued, according to my neighbors.\r \r I followed up with a police officer assigned my case, and was told there were other problems at my complex. Namely, an unidentified man masturbating in the bushes by the pool late at night. I kid you not. No notification was sent to anyone, and all people I mention this to are shocked and feel betrayed that they havent been informed.\r \r Maintenance is abysmal. I reported a clogged drain last winter. Since this time, I've reported it five times, and sent pictures. The drain will fill after a rain and flood the walkway and pavement. I'm talking 6-8"" of water. Try walking through this when you have to go to work.\r \r Finally, the online payment center for Grogans Landing double billed everyone, and took out double rent from a large portion of the complex. This has been a nightmare getting resolved.\r \r I would stress that anyone looking to rent in the Woodlands area look elsewhere. We will not be renewing our lease come next year. Good luck! Pros: inexpensive Cons: parking, drainage, management more
