I don't normally write negative reviews. Any restaurant can have an off night. But this was hands down one of the worst meals I have ever had. I had some early misgivings when we walked into an empty restaurant, just a half-block away from the always overflowing Sole Proprietor, Boynton, and Sahara. The ambiance was laughable, just a bunch of tv's. But as we had a gift certificate, we decided to give it a try. Absolutely everything we ordered was a disappointment. Fried mac & cheese was overcooked, and came to the table a crusty, unattractive dark brown color, obviously overdone. My shrimp avocado salad, supposedly served in an avocado shell, came drowned in a tasteless creamy dressing, apparently to hide the lack of avocado. Were they out of avocados? I should have been told. I'd have preferred to order something else. Our main courses, pasta and surf and turf, were bland, tough (steak), and undercooked (shrimp). Even the plain cheese pizza that we took home for the kids was burned and inedible. It went right into the trash. With a glass of wine and cola, the bill came to $80. A pricey dump. This place is unacceptable, especially on a street where you can get great food and ambiance just a few feet away.
Pros: Location
Cons: Just about everything else
