I have to confess that I worked for Great Southern while I was in college. I worked customer service, and though the pay was not exceptional, the service was. After working at other financial customer service places later, I realized how good it was. Here we were expected to actually help people. If we couldn't, then we were to find someone who could. We didn't have a "time limit" to get customers on and off the phone, so there was no pressure when trying to help someone. I had several accounts there and never had a single problem. Occasionally, you would catch someone on a bad day, but it was rare. Overall, the tellers are friendly and helpful. There were also a wide variety of account types and services to choose from.
