Recently purchased a Jeep Grand Cherokee-Laredo, 2004 thru Great Lakes Auto. I have spent over a month and one half looking at various vehicles (over 100) at various auto dealers and private owners throughout Michigan, and this is the first one of whom was telling me the truth about their vehicle. Both before I looked at it and when I finally got there. I was treated exceptionally well by both Liz and Mike. Both very professional and curtious. I enjoyed my time spent with both and I will recommend them to others. The used vehicle is very nice, and drives out very nice. My wife even has fallen inlove with it. My best to both of them and their used car dealership. I will be back whenI need another. Thanks! more

Great Place to buy a car. After looking around for weeks and driving to look at many vehicles that were not what was advertised we finally found a place that has exactly what they said. Actually they had a very large selection of vehicles and everything was prices great. Sales people were excellent and very helpful to us. We bough a vehicle and after 3 months we still love it to death and thank Great Lakes Auto for the fantastic service and excellent used vehicle. I would strongly recommend anyone who needs a car to stop by and talk to them and look at whet they have to offer. +1 would re-buy another car in an instant from you guys next time i need one! more

Recently had the pleasure of shopping at Great Lakes Auto for a new vehicle. There was an issue and they promptly took care of it, and made me a happy customer. There is no doubt in my mind that they will have my business again. Well done, G.L.A., well done. more

They are a complete rip off..telling you nothing is wrong with the vehicle..when in fact there is plenty wrong. If you buy from them my best suggestion is to have it looked at by a good mechanic prior to a final sale and not to anyone they suggest, but they will tell you there mechanic looked it over and there is nothing wrong with it and it had an oil change..another lie.. They should not be in buisness. They are very nice at first but not after the sale..they turn nasty, refuse to call you back and take a tough luck attitude...they are crooks running a dishonest buisness. more

Three months later and still loving my 2005 Chevrolet Malibu that I purchased from Great Lakes Auto. Cheapest prices around. Easy to do business with and super friendly people. Do not hesitate to do business with them!! A++ in my book. more

I bought a car from them at the end of the summer. I paid almost $4000 cash. I drove it, everything was good, but the air didn't work, it was blowing out heat. Liz told me they would look at it. I picked the car up a few days later, and it wasn't fixed. We agreed to schedule a time for me to take it back. That never happened. When it started getting cold, my car started blowing out cold air. Not only was there a problem with the air, the heat also didn't work. I called Liz back and we scheduled for me to take it out. Her husband looked at it and flushed out a hose. The heat sort of worked for a day, then it went back out. I called and left a message to let her know, she called back and said they would fix it, not to worry about it. When I tried to call to schedule this, I couldn't contact them...after about a month, i filed a complaint with the Better BusinessBureau. They didn't respond to that, so I had an ingham county mediator call. Liz says, the car was sold as is. I haven't been able to contact them until today. Liz answered the phone and when I told her who I was and why i was calling, she told me that she read a review online and that I was nothing but a liar and she had nothing more to say to me, and then she hung up. I am an honest person, and I honestly would tell everyone I know NOT to buy a car from them. I thought they were nice, honest people, clearly I was mistaken. Be careful. Pros: they seemed nice at first Cons: they turned out to be not so nice at all more

I deliver and deal with great lakes auto on usually a weekly basis. They are very curteous and polite. I would buý a car from them any time and I woúld recomend them to anybody. more

CUSTOMER PURCHASED A 1990'S SATURN FOR $400 BUCKS. CAME TO THE LOT 2 TIMES TO CHECK OVER VEHICLE FOR OVER AN HOUR EACH TIME. YOU KNEW YOU WERE BUYING A CAR THAT NEEDED WORK. NO SUCH THING AS A PERFECT CAR FOR THE AMOUNT OF MONEY YOU PAID. I'M SORY YOU EXPECTED A BRAND NEW CAR FOR $400 DOLLARS. more

Very dishonest. After checking over vehicle as close as we could(checked all fluids but couldn't get coolant cap off - too tight), then test drove (ran a little rough) asked if there was anything they knew was wrong. Was told it only needed a tune-up, no other problems. We purchased and drove home. Car broke down the next day, finding oil in the coolant (after needing a wrech to get cap off) and had a cracked cylinder head. Contacted previous owner. Previous owner told us they new of the problem when he traded the car in. Previous owner contacted Great Lakes Auto and they basically told him too bad. Car was sold as is with no warrenty. This dealer was NOT honest and only cared about the money, NOT the customer! Do NOT deal with them! Very upset with Great Lakes Auto. Cons: Very dishonest. Didn't care about the customer, only the money. more
