Yummy, hard to park 7/31/2011

Checked out Granville for an early dinner.. the only problem I had was the parking..It took a few trips around the block to find a space... (although there is garage parking close by I just felt like trying my luck for street parking) The food presentation was perfect, our waiter was excellent and the vibe was cool. I am heading back on Saturday to check in for lunch with a friend who in town this weekend. I think this will be the perfect place for a little food, some shopping and maybe take in a movie down the street!! more

Really Enjoy The Food!! 7/27/2011

I enjoy their food here. I don't know if it's also the same chef cooking as the one in Top Chef this season, but at least I like the super fast way they get the food out to you, without feeling hurried. More accurately, I think I should say that the food comes out in successions, at the perfect timing. more

Unmemorable 4/22/2010

I had breakfast here and was disappointed, it was overpriced for french toast & there was a very small selection. The latte was just alright. It wasn't terrible, but I have no desire to go back. Unmemorable. Pros: Decor Cons: Selection more

Just devine!! 7/17/2009

Just loved this place. So yummy!! Pros: Food, ambiance & service Cons: little parking available more

Nice Casual Dining Experience 7/12/2009

The burger and sweet potato fries were delicious. Obviously not for someone watching their caloric intake, nonetheless worth splurging if you haven't cheated on your workouts. The service was friendly and the ambiance very cool--good music, located right on the strip in the middle of Burbank Village. A bit pricey, but I rather spend a bit more and get good service, a clean restaurant and competent people serving us. Pros: Sweet Potato Fries more

Good food, deco and service, but way too pricey for a cafe 3/30/2009

I like this casual dining cafe, they have nice decor with friendly staff. A relaxing patio seating to look out on San Fernando Road. The food is good, they have some interesting dish on the menu. The only drawback on this place is pricey for what you get. I believe is because they use organic ingredients. I was there just 2 days ago, ordered the ""Land and Sea"" entree which include 2 ""tiny"" Filet Mignon Medallions and 8 little shrimp on some mash potato and they charge you $26.00 for it. And OMG, they have sandwiches that cost $15.00. Its really wasn't worth paying that much for. And the Hummus and flat bread for $9.00, OMG it was good, but it still not worth the money, maybe $6.00 is more like it. From now on, the only time I'm going there is when I have a coupon or something. To tell you the truth, Elephant Bar just around the corner is worth every dime with very good food and service and it won't clean out your wallet. If you're into Organic foods, this is a good place to go. Pros: Good decor, food and service Cons: pricey more

Granville Cafe My new favorite place...just don't order the Angel Hair Pasta with Lobster 10/14/2008

I love this place....with it's rustic American decor, fireplaces, iron work, art etc. Not only is the atmosphere pleasant and romantic but the food is grrrrrrreat. My husband and I started off with the seared Ahi tuna with smoked mozarella cheese it was delicious and the serving was perfect for two. I ordered the Angel Hair pasta with lobster and my husband had the ""Village Favorite"" the pork chop. The pork chop with the cranberry garnish was excellent, too bad my pasta was not. Granville should stick to all American cuisines because my pasta was great but the lobster was tasteless and rubbery. The lobster was cut into small little pieces, which looked and tasted more like little rubbery shrimp pieces and I don't why they added pickled artichoke hearts, it just made it worse. The grilled pork chop was gigantic and the heavenly sweet potato fries made me forget about my bad meal. It was worth it!!! P.S. have them serve the sweet potato fries that comes with the huge pork chop on a separate plate so they won't become soggy....since they tase so heavenly when they are crispy.\r Cordially, Ieda Andal , PA-C Pros: Village Favorite Pork Chop with ""heavenly"" Sweet Potato Fries Cons: Angel Hair Pasta w/ rubbery tasteless lobster more

Great food! 8/13/2008

My hasband and I vivisted Granville after having a wonderful day at the spa next foor for our anniversary. We got a seat next to the fireplace which was so nice. The food was very good and the ambiance was great. I recommend their Salmon and thei 5 cheese artizan pizza, yummy! Try it! Pros: Location, food, ambiance Cons: parking more

Incredible Menu 7/30/2008

I moved from Los Angeles to Memphis 7 months ago and Granville has been one of those places that I frequently find myself daydreaming about and wishing I could go. I ate there probably 7 or so times before I left LA (never tried breakfast though) and the food was never less than delicious! Their sweet potato fries w/blue cheese dipping sauce are absolutely to die for! I've never had sweet potato fries quite like them. Another favorite is the chicken and blue pizza... soo unusual (it has figs!) and incredibly tasty!! Granville has such a diverse and unusual menu that you're sure to find something for everyone. The service was usually speedy and the atmosphere is nice. You can't go wrong with Granville!! Pros: Awesome menu, delicious food, fun atmosphere, reasonable prices Cons: Parking can sometimes be a pain, but that applies for almost all of downtown Burbank more

Awesome food!!! 7/24/2008

Great food, great service, great ambience, parking may be a hassel, as it always is in downtown Burbank....sweet potato fries are a MUST!! more

Do Not Enter - Bad Service, Bad Food 7/12/2008

I have gone to Granville a couple of times because of a friend that worked in the area and without fail every time something went wrong- the service or the food. The first time we went the food took 45 minutes to be served and the waiter was extremely slow & lazy and the host was unwelcoming. Some of the staff had that hang over look where they just rolled out of bed after having a long night. I love how this restaurant prides itself on quick lunch service when it takes them a good 45 mins to get you anything - ridiculous!\r The next time we went for breakfast one of our orders was never placed with the kitchen, therefore when everyone's food arrived one of our guests at the table was without food. The waiter was not apologetic and refused to comp the meal that was finally delivered to the table 30 minutes later after everyone else was already finished. That same breakfast, someone had ordered pancakes which were uncooked! How can you under cook pancakes?!!! Don't you learn how to cook pancakes correctly in your first cooking class? I will never go back to Granville again. I am surprised that they were able to buy their way into the Americana in Glendale. Cons: Service, Food more

Bad Service 6/28/2008

Went for breakfast. Now, if you are on a healthy diet, just dont go here because not only you cant find anything on the menu thats healthy, but they will not make ANY effort to accomodate. Specifically, since i saw that their egg dishes were super unhealthy, full of oil and sugar, i ask them politely, if i can just have 2 hard-boiled eggs. They refused to boil eggs for me since ""it was too hard to do that."" I tried to go with the flow and try to see the salad menu. The salads were even worse. Then i asked for just some fresh fruit since that was on the menu and labeled described as ""A freshly picked blend of Strawberries, Blueberries and Blackberries."" I asked if the fruits are what the description says, just fruits. The waitress said that the fruits are actually in syrup, which was not in the description. Also to note, the waitresses were very slow and unwelcoming. We asked for our check for the water that was brought to us, paid and left. more

Great happy hour Great food 6/18/2008

I just discovered Granville about 6 months ago for Happy Hour and I've been back atleast 8 or 9 times for HH or dinner. The happy hour food and drinks taste very good for the money. The staff is trememdoulsly friendly and accomodating. They've gone out of ther way several times to put a game on that I've requested. They remember you even when you're not looking to be remembered and will stop you to say hi. \r I didn't even like pork chops before I came here. I've had issues with them becuase of texture and they are typically dry. I went with a friend and tried it and now I'm hooked. Theirs is one of the most tender and tasteful pork chops I've ever had. Pros: Food Service Friendliness more

Cool place, be careful, sweet potato fries are addicting. 4/18/2008

This is a cool place with a nice atmosphere and good food. The sweet potato fries are AMAZING. My Fiance and I love this place and are very happy that a new one is opening in Glendale at the Americana in May.\r \r Great place to eat in Burbank, soon to be Glendale. Pros: food is great Cons: only one location.. but for now.... more

Love the happy hour and the ambiance. My husband and I ""escape"" here whenever possible for a glass of good wine. 4/15/2008

The patio here is so inviting (I feel like I'm on vacation when I sit out there) and the food and atmosphere are very nice. The main ding room can become noisy. Love the salads and the roast beef sandwich is great. Avoid the sweet potato fries as they can be greasy.\r \r One of the better restaurants (non-chain) in downtown Burbank.\r \r Pros: Patio atmosphere Cons: Dining room can get noisy more

Careless kitchen 1/2/2008

Raw bacon in my club sandwich and hair in my lunch guest's macaroni. I will not be going back after having been a customer for about a year now. Pros: Good menu, quality ingredients Cons: careless kitchen (food often under or over cooked/dry, hair found in food), slow service more

o.k food, nothing to shout about, fresh, good ingredients, healthy 12/9/2007

I've only been to this place once, their food is plain/simple, nothing that will please the tastebuds. IF you want really plain food, that is fresh and healthy...the go here. Pros: healthy Cons: boring food more

SPF's rock! 11/26/2007

Granville is AWESOME. I have come here about 6 or 7 times, and it is pretty much my first choice at any time of day. Meals are great, prices are affordable, and the staff is especially friendly. I have honestly never had a bad bite here. The weekday happy hour is really great - cheap food, and good drinks. I don't think the drinks are on special, but when you're eating a $3 gourmet burger, it evens out. The patio area is really nice. Even though I have only been here with friends, I can see this place being a good romantic date as well. I will continue to go to Granville. more
