When I was 27 weeks pregnant with my daughter I went into preterm labor. I opted to go to the hospital that was closest to my home, rather than risking something going wrong as I was in transport to the one that I would be delivering at. Unfortunately my OB did not have privileges at this hospital. I heard several times from the maternity staff that I should not be there and I should have gone to the hospital where my baby would be born. I offered to leave to go to that hospital and was told that no I needed to stay since I was already there. I was terrified that something was goingto happen to my baby and the last thing I needed was the negativity that was being thrown my way while in their care.
