Walking the trails at Buboltz is very peaceful. I saw more wildlife in one place thaan I did all of my trip to the so called Northwoods last weekend. Whats really nice is that I dont have to drive for 2 hours to get to see nature. Its right here in the Fox valley. There was no charge to walk the trails but I loved it so much I left a donation in the box outside. Hopefully they have enough money to get through the bad times. I heard they may have to cut way back on open hours to save money. more

Family time 12/30/2005

Gordon Bubolz Nature Preserve is a great place to go to get in touch with nature. They truly educate you on various areas of nature. A lot of schools in the area take the children on field trips there. They also are a great place to go to get exercise. They have trails for walking or cross country skiing. It is both a healthy and a fun way to spend the afternoon with your family. The atmosphere is perfect for bonding with your children. The atmosphere is so relaxing that it really lets you and them open up and share the experience. more

Great hiking close to home 10/28/2005

This is a wonderful place to go for a hike and commune with nature. It is close to town but with 700 acres it provides the necessary barrier to keep the city from encroaching on your serenity. They also have a nice wilderness center that is great for the kids. more

Beautiful grounds of nature .. trails .. learning .. adventure .. the flat platform is great . the buliding is a great recreational area . you can also sign up for learning projects . the buliding of nature made . rustic .. open and alots to explore whether indoors or outdoors . the nature preserve is open all year long .. with snow cross sking to be act,,This beautiful preserve offers visitors 8 miles of groomed, flat track for cross country skiing.. more

Nature and hiking 9/25/2005

Gordon Nature Preserve is over 700 acres! They have miles of hiking and cross country skiing trails. They also have indoor exhibits and planned activities. If you're looking for something different to do with the family or child's party, it is a great place to take the family or take kids for entertainment. They have a great view with all the trees around and plenty of things to do. They are in a great location on County Rd A as you are heading north out of town. They have hours available six days a week. They are closed on Mondays. more

Great Trails 8/21/2005

Bubolz Gordon Nature Preserve is a great place close to home to go for a hike. It provides beautiful scenery, including woods, plants, flowers, animals and a pond. It does not cost a lot like some places close by, and yet it is still worth the trip. They have different trails that are different lengths depending on how much time you have. more

Bubolz Nature Preserve is a awesome place for the whole family to go. They have several hiking trails, all that vary in lengths. They go through wooden areas, past ponds with decks to look out from, and they have buildings with many different exhibits to see. There are exhibits of wildlife, where you see up close every detail of the critters that run through the woods. There is plenty of parking and it is easy to find, right outside of town. It is wise to plan a whole afternoon or evening to really enjoy it. i would suggest bringing a water bottle with you an wearing comfortable shoes. more

It is wise to plan a whole afternoon or evening to really enjoy it. The only problem with an evening hike, though, is that sometimes the mosquitoes can make it a little difficult. more
