The Goodhue County Historical Society is one of the best in Minnesota. They have a strong resolve and civic duty in preserving the past of Goodhue County, Minnesota. On site they offer informative tours of their museum. The museum is very well done. It encompasses all of the past of the county starting with the first Native American Peoples and ending with the present day and hope for the future. It is worth a trip just to see. They also offer on site a well used research library. They have many different collections available to be researched. These include but are not limited to: photograph collections, early settler information, cemetery records, family information and much more. If you have an ancestor that resided at some point in time in Goodhue County, this would be the place to go to find out more about them. I can't say enough good about this Historical Society. They really care about preserving the past and sharing that with those of today.
