This program addresses limitations in physical endurance and stamina and helps patients overcome these impediments and return to an active lifestyle.

    Sports Medicine Services
    A Licensed Athletic Trainer is available to provide game coverage, Saturday morning clinics during football season, student trainer education and injury rehabilitation under the physician's order and therapist's supervision. A complete gym is available for the rehabilitation of patients with sports injuries or reconditioning, strengthening and endurance training.

    Aquatic Therapy Services
    Good Shepherd Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine has the most advanced indoor rehabilitative aquatic facility in Longview. The pool is heated to expedite the healing process and offers wave resistance to maximize strengthening effects.

    Occupational Therapy Services
    Outpatient Occupational therapy services are provided to address the rehabilitation needs of persons who have suffered injuries to their hands and upper extremity. These injuries may include but not be limited to burns, fractures, nerve injuries, or partial or complete amputation of the digits. Occupational Therapy services are also available to evaluate and treat neurological conditions such as the late effects of a stroke, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injuries.

    Speech Therapy Services
    Speech therapy services include evaluation and treatment of swallowing difficulties after stroke, pediatric developmental delays, voice problems, and specialized speaking devices. Our highly trained therapists also provide the most advanced treatment techniques available.
